Eh, if you're looking at who teams lost and who they gained in a vacuum without consideration to circumstances and whathaveyou, I guess their arguments can be made.  I think the Cowboys made out like bandits, myself.  Getting Hardy will be HUGE for their defense.  Their defense getting Hardy would be like us getting Joe Thomas at $13 mil a year (even if it's just for one year).  Losing Demarco won't hurt as much as most are thinking, in my opinion.  I could run the ball behind that o-line.  Also they, like us, don't have enough cap space to do too much.

Ginn is a huge addition for anyone who watched Bersin return punts for us last year. Our special teams was the worst in the league, and Ginn will vastly improve the unit. As for Oher, I'm very questionable about whether he can be any good, but something a lot of people miss is that our o-line coach John Matsko was his o-line coach with the Ravens his first 2 years when he actually played well. I'm hoping being back with Matsko will help him. And also, as bad as Oher could be, it's a given that he'll be better than last year's starter Byron Bell.  Coleman is really just a special teams guy who could maybe compete for a safety spot. The biggest things though were keeping some of our own players, like Dickson, Colin Cole, Joe Webb (allows us to trade Anderson if a team comes calling with a 3rd rounder), Dwan Edwards, etc. If we can end up signing Alan Ball (we were very close to a deal before he left and it's still on the table) and Greg Jennings (had him in for a visit that supposedly went very well, but Greg's just choosing where he wants to go after visiting different teams) then I'd consider this FA period for the Panthers a huge success. Considering the money we have to spend, and with Cam and Luke's extensions coming up soon, it's really hard to do better than Gettleman has this FA. So for now I'd give it a B+ and if we get Jennings/Ball that would become an A+.

Hardy's a great signing for them, but they're not getting a steal. They will be paying him qhat he's worth and that's a lot of money. If they got him for $5M then yes that'd be a steal, but $13M for him is not close to a steal.

The guy thinks Ginn was brought is as a situational WR. Tells me all I need to know about how much he really knows about the Panthers.

Look at Ginn's career the last 5 years and you'll see probably one of  the reasons he came back is we were the only team to take him seriously as a WR.

His one year as a Panther receiver equals the other 4 years combined.

ST play is gravy.
