Very bold draft prediction. DGB doesnt get drafted until 3rd day or might even go undrafted.

With today's NFL climate about character concerns being of utmost importance and with so many players in trouble for substance abuse AND domestic violence, DGB picked a bad year to have character concerns. You think im crazy? Stop and think for a minute.

First lets talk about his drug charges. TWO different charges of pot possession, Justin Blackmon had two DUI charges in college, guess what, he has been a huge bust and off the field and for what reason? You guessed it, ANOTHER DUI. Then you have Josh Gordon, suspended also for substance abuse, the fact that these two players play the same position as DGB doesnt help matters either.

Truth be told, his pot incidents alone could make teams take a pass on him until the 3rd day or even make him undraftable. But thats not alll, to pile on he also has a domestic violence issue being accused of pushing a female down the stairs and you have the perfect recipe of people in shock on why DGB fell so far down the draft or even went undrafted.

If you think this is crazy talk, lets not forget that Ryan Mallet was a top QB prospect at the game's most important position and most had him going 2nd round AT worst and he didnt get drafted until the 3rd day, lets also not forget that in comparison to DGB Mallett looked like an alter boy and that was even before the NFL climate became what it is today.

If I recall Vontaze Burfict was considered a top 5 or better LB prospect and he went undrafted so its not totally out of the question.

If I were Denver I'd draft him or any other state with legal law (not sure about the nfl's guidelines dealing with that)

 

In any event, If he falls ...we better draft him in the second. Just keep him on a short lease, keep Richardson out of the know, and make sure the Dez Bryant clause is in effect. Some players do turn that corner ...some don't..  but sometimes its a chance you have to take.
