Panthers worked out Randy Gregory

Kuech the Sneak

Recommended Posts

He failed 3 drug test Scot.. How dumb is that response now.. Jerry painted himself into the moral corner with the "we do things right" comment..

Given that they used a pre-draft visit on him, still just as stupid as before.

As has been explained (if you were paying attention) one of the things they use these visits for is to discuss issues like this with players in whom they're interested. Ergo, they're interested in Gregory as an option.

I still don't think they take him because he's undersized, but to suggest they'd waste a draft visit on a guy they wouldn't even consider drafting is mega-dumb.

If I were going to be on national TV at the combine showing off for all the coaches, GM's and owners, what would make me smoke pot, knowing that all of the aforementioned folks would find out AND it would cost me millions of dollars potentially?

Don't think it is just stupid

Lol...can't believe anyone really thinks Hardy was innocent.

Holder was compliment in what went in, but Hardy was not innocent.

I've seen zero evidence that suggests Hardy was guilty, therefore I will reserve my judgement and trust that he's innocent.

He may slide due to making this information public. If he'd kept his mouth shut, he probably wouldn't slide a bit, even with all the teams having knowledge of it. A ton of NFL players fail drug tests daily. We only hear about the ones that absolutely can't control themselves, like Gordon for example.

just based off a quick google seach:

"40% of NFL players use marijuana"

"about 50 percent of current NFL players use marijuana"

As a potential top 10 pick, it absolutely would have a leaked out. All 32 teams get that information and all it takes is one GM wanting the guy to slide a bit to call up Schefter and tell him. Gregory's agent was smart to have him admit it now so it's out of the way well before the draft news cycle hits full steam.

People actually believe the guy stopped months prior to the combine and his THC levels were still high enough to raise a red flag come combine time? This guys body fat % is so low and he likely works out so much that he could have it out of his system in a couple weeks even if he was a frequent smoker. I'm willing to bet he just didn't stop and smoked right up until the combine thinking he would pass after a day or two without the herb because of his body and workout habits. His choice to smoke doesn't bother me. But when it's screwed him over multiple times in college and now again before his NFL career has even started, there is a problem. The problem I have is not with his choice to blaze. It's his decision making at a pivotal time in his young career. Not something I want to risk a first round pick on. I hope he's gone by the time pick 25 rolls around.

A former player gave me that bit of information.  If you get to the point of suspension... you have a very big problem(See Gordon).

CBS Sports Rob Rang @ RobRang:

5h

Based on team feedback I received at Combine, I'm

unfortunately not surprised to read Randy Gregory failed drug

test

5h

Among feedback I received on Gregory from teams was that he

came off as "having an excuse for everything" and "would be a

scary 1st rd pick"

5h

The issue with Gregory isn't a single failed test for marijuana.

Some teams will brush that off. Ive been told there are "several"

red flags
