Do you lose momentum when you rest players?

Question, If, and that is a big if, but if we beat NY Sunday.

I have heard several say we can then rest our starters against N.O. and then have a bye in 1st week of playoffs. So if you do rest the starters do they lose a sh1tload of momentum since they would be on a roll? I mean would Smitty, Pep, Jake and company come back rusty as hell if they were off that long?

At the same time, I know you hate to lose one to a senseless injury in a meaningless game too.

So where do you draw the line?

This is a messageboard? I was beginning to think it was a bandwagoner help board?

No apparently you think is the a$$hole-fan-holier-than-thou-board. :puke:

Why do some insist on commenting that others' posts are not justified? He did preface it with "a big if" and has a legit question about resting players. If you can't contribute to the discussion then stay out of it.

IMO it is a bad thing to rest players and has been proven many times in recent years. While the threat of injury is significant, it is important to keep players in the winning mindset and in game shape. I agree with the others that said to play them but not for the whole game...especially if we get out to a nice lead.

Someone has to be the a-hole that keeps Panthers fans from looking past the biggest regular season game in Panthers history.
