FOX's Peter Schrager: "I expect Carolina to take a WR in the 1st R"

Yeeeee

Reliable hands are a really big deal to me. Love the speed, but you'd have to talk me into this one.

I'm not really pushing for him.  Nobody really, outside of Cooper/White, have me overly excited... and of course we can't get either of them.  I'm sure someone else will take a shot at getting you talked into it.  ;)

from the Stephen Hill thread:

David Newton @ DNewtonespn

Rivera says Stephen Hill takes pressure off HAVING to take a

WR in the draft. Doesn't mean #Panthers won't take one.

David Newton @ DNewtonespn

Rivera said Stephen Hill is at the point where he could

contribute this season.

Joe Person @ josephperson

Rivera says the year on the practice squad helped Stephen Hill

relax, catch the ball more consistently.

It'll be interesting to see how far Strong falls due to this "wrist" issue, most already think he's dropping out of the first round before he even arrived in Indianapolis for the re-check.

With the report that surgery is imminent, why wouldn't he have had it operated on right after the Arizona State season ended? Seems that this is getting a bit overblown

The irony of what I'm reading in this thread: No matter what you guys, the media, so called draft experts and NFL personnel guys think, I guarantee you, some of the guys they say are studs will be flops. And some of the guys who are more lightly regarded and/or have alleged holes in their games, will be much better than advertised.

Nonetheless, I love how people talk about these players (particularly the receivers) as if what people saying about them are written in stone when the season actually starts. And we're also not sure, who's going to rise, and who's going to plummet come draft day. Some always do.

I say: Why not just put your trust in the idea that Gettlemen will hopefully make the best pick when it's his turn/comes available?
