FOX's Peter Schrager: "I expect Carolina to take a WR in the 1st R"

Love everything about Perriman..... except his hands.  They're bad.  Very suspect and inconsistent.  One play he will make an incredible high-point grab, and the next he will drop a wide open catch.  Very KB-esque like last year.

KB wasn't as bad as advertised, but he did frustrate us a lot this past year with his drops.

If Proehl can help with their techniques and improve the pass catching, Perriman is a bonafide top-20 selection.

Perfect frame, fast, fluid, big hands, incredible vertical, doesn't shy away from physicality.  Only knocks on him are level of talent faced at UCF and his hands.

Honestly, at #25 there is a severe knock on every WR.

Strong - Stiff & lacks separation

DGB - off field/character issues

Smith - route running

Agholor - frame/physicality

Perriman - hands

For me, Smith and Agholor are my personal faves, but Perriman is right behind them.

I think we end up with a stud anyway..like others have said...if there is a run on WRs and/or OL then we get a sick DE/LB/CB or even RB...

This draft being so deep in our positions of need again is so much better for us than people realize, if teams start grabbing OL/WR because they think we want them then that leads to reaching and lets better prospects at other positions fall further.

I wouldn't mind a WR but we shouldn't reach for one if there have already been a ton of them taken ahead of us. Every WR taken pushes a quality player at another position down to us and we shouldn't hesitate to take advantage.

And if we didn't have a square prude for an owner then DGB would be in the mix

I guarantee you that over half the teams in the league have DGB off their boards.  Much like damn near all of them were completely hands off this FA with Hardy....even with his incredible talent.

Owners of these teams are businessmen and reputation of their franchises is important....no matter how many idiot fans there are out there that put winning above everything.  Morals and character has become a lost trait in the world today.  Too many of you "do whatever makes you feel good" idiots walking around out there.

If the top 4 WRs go in the first 12 picks, I'd prefer to look elsewhere at #25.

IMO, those top 4 WRs are about as close to sure things as you're going to find in the draft, but after that there's a pretty steep drop off but a lot of depth. I'm not convinced there's a big difference between the #5 WR and the #10 WR.

but who are the Top 4 WRs? It was White/Cooper/Parker/Strong, but in the newest wave of mocks, a lot have Strong falling out of that top 4, and some have him falling out of the 1st R altogether. See below

Like Promethean Forerunner said, if the Top 3 (White/Cooper/Parker) aren't there, then we might not take a WR. And like Soul Rebel said, there is a severe knock on every WR outside the top 3. For Strong, he struggled creating separation but made up for it by out-muscling/out-jumping his man. That worked for him while playing in the age 18-23 amateur NCAA (most of whom won't make the NFL), but will that work for him in the N.F.L.?
