New Defense?

Believe the most concerning issues is lack of people to the ball. If meeks, and it appears lewis is stating this in a round about way hustling this clearly is not something that has been shown by the team in general. Sure there are a few standout every game IE Lehman in the first, but there is typically very few defenders around the ball.

Its a bit of a cover up, but what does he say? "Hey this defense sucks, our scheme blows" o wait peppers already said that in the offseason.

i hate the fact that we are still rebuilding through the draft..

dont get me wrong thats fundamentally the way to go- BUT, you build through FA when you are maybe 1-2 players away.. we were 12-4 and on a train-track to the superbowl until the Arizona game.. we were exposed for the faulty D-line we had and the poor QB play..

2 - How many times has 'six'berg gone after FA players?

3 - I think that everyone has a 'the sky is falling' attitude right now. Give it some time, put some trust in the FO. They will make sure we will be ok.

I could almost buy that argument if it weren't for the fact that this defensive scheme is supposed to be "simpler" than the defensive scheme they ran last year.

I'm not saying the "sky is falling" I'm just trying to figure out why the defense is playing poorly. If you think they will get it together before Sept 13 you are kidding yourself. I actually think they can win 10 games this year with the offense, but the defense has to tighten some things up.
