The "Blue Goose" Prospect

The OT thing in my opinion, is not gonna happen in the first.  I see a lot of RT's in this draft and Gman normally gets those later.

DE/WR

You can switch em back and forth with the first and second round.  If Gman thinks Gurley is fully healed, he might be a wild card in the first.

R1PK25 Erek Flowers OL 6'6" 330 (most reps at combine, 37)

Big, athletic frame carrying more than 320 pounds with ease. Ascending mauler in the run game. Bender who is low man off snap and pops hips into block to leverage defender at the point. Combines hips, arm extension and upper-body power to consistently turn his man when base blocking. Once he gets upper hand in run game, he usually sustains and finishes. Secures combo block with a vengeance. Has feet to become solid zone blocker. Mean and highly competitive. Wants to dominate and gets surly when beaten on a snap. Special foot quickness in pass protection. Able to mirror and counter two-way rushers or B-gap blitzers. Uses quick feet and loose hips to turn, scramble and recover when beaten. Pass-set depth and technique improved as year progressed. Has played both tackle positions.

R2PK57 Owamagbe Odighizuwa DE 6'3" 267 (4.62 40, 39" vertical)

(granted, likely to go earlier but have seen him rated in 60s on some boards)

Absolute Greek God with the pads off. Shredded physique with very little body fat. Strong at the point of attack. Plays with desired anchor and strong lower body. Run defender who can close down creases. Gets off ball with good pad level and has potential to convert speed to power. Hands are violent and active. Relentless and competitive. Never gives up on a pass rush. Expected to be a core special-teams talent. Can play 4-3 defensive end or 3-4 outside linebacker.

And Justin Hardy in the 3rd. Life be good.

RD1

____

OT - T.J. Clemmings

RB - Todd Gurley

DE - Alvin Dupree

Right now, I'm not comfortable at all with Oher at LT, Remmers at RT, and with Chandler as the main back-up.  Clemmings was a top performer at the 20 yd shuttle (and vertical jump) at the Combine and might be the most athletic T in the draft even though he's raw.

RD2

____

SS - Landon Collins

WR - Philip Dorsett

DE - Owamagbe Odighizuwa

OT - Jake Fisher

Dorsett has the elite speed we need at WR and Cam/Shula needs in this offense.  Size is a concern, but I believe he will mesh well with Benjamin and Cotchery/Philly B/maybe Jennings?

  • 2 months later...

Stepping away from what I would I do... and from what I gather on DG's tendencies....

25: Owa Odighizuwa or Shaq Thompson  (whichever is there)

57:  Devin Funchess or Cedric Ogbuehi (Second he usually picks the guy NON-QB who slides a little.. )

Ogbuehi and Gurley "should" be ready by camp I think. I would have put Devin Smith at 57 since the focus seems to be on speed but Brown and Ginn can handle that.

I've been inactive a while but now that I'm back ...I must toot my own horn on that one...

The draft will play out like this ... Todd Gurley in 1st and Peat/DJ Humpries/Ty Sambrailo in the 2nd. (Draft slide in consideration..Yes, one will fall between Peat and Humphries..)

or...more realistically
