The genius that is the Gettleman 2014 draft

Can't leave out Norwell and Philly and even Glanton too IMO just because they were UDFA. Norwell will be a future all-pro guard and I predict Philly will be a longterm solid (and cheap) option as a #3 wideout, with Glanton providing depth. Gettleman is a fuging genius. If we parallel that success in this draft, we're going all the way to the Super Bowl. Place your bets fellas while the odds are still good.

Philly conserns me with his durability. Hopefully after a year of a streagth coach he will leave that behind him.

He needs to put on some more pounds. Same with Ealy still. Shouldn't be too big of a deal, in my opinion.

Well, he could have taken Mewhort over Ealy, then that would have allowed him to take Moncrief over Turner. Of course then we'd be looking for a DE in this year's draft as our #2 need instead of a WR. Either way, it was a home run of a draft.

Edit: Nevermind, the Colts picked before us each time, so he couldn't have without trading up (which would not be worth it...ask the Saints)

Also too early because some of these players that are being poo pooed could break out later.

We missed out on some good receivers. The draft was good, but not genius IMO.

Let people have their hug fest though. I like G-man, but he still has a lot to prove as our GM.

To call DG a genius at this point is delusional. Would you say JR is a genius for hiring DG? Stupid poo.

Boston was reach and I said you could have taken Bene then , there are options if you didn't think he would last through the next rd. Don't read what you want read what is written. But , I highly doubt Bene would have been gone before our original 5th spot either. Either way we wasted a pick to move up for Bene when he could  have been had without the trade and we still could have gotten the same players plus 1. Yes I know Boston would still be there at 5.

no you dont lol

When Ealy grows and developes like Chuck and Hardy did over the course of a few yrars there wont be any talk of "id rather have had" itll be "damn what a steal"

People like patience now a days

DEs need to develop. Name a rookie DE with a better season than Ealy last season
