Gran trying to upgrade the db' group to build st and upgrade the pass coverage. will put less pressure on our DL and LB to have to over compensate for poor db's. I'll take whatever upgrades we can get because we aren't that far from battling for the NFC championship.

I really like this signing. As has been mentioned he had a great "13 (in the top 25 CB per PFF) and was having an ok '14 before he got hurt (had one really poorly graded game that killed his PFF numbers week 2 @ Was)

Ball was the ranked 22nd on PFF in 2013 with a +7.5 grade. He only played about half the snaps in 2014 because of the Jags depth at the position so he was 40th with a +0.1 grade.
