NFL files lawsuit against Mecklenburg County for Hardy evidence

The league would be saying that Greg Hardy did something worse than Ray Rice, when his case was thrown out of court and there was no hard evidence, whereas Rice did have hard evidence AND had wayyyyyy more of a backlash. Lawyers will eat that sh*t up. He will not end up with more than 2.

Unless the speculation is true about him agreeing not to fight it.

I don't think the league cares what ancillary message they send as long as people think they're tougher on domestic violence now.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Remember when Hardy met with the league, he agreed to be cooperative with them in exchange for their not preventing him from signing in free agency.

Was it cooperation for not preventing him from signing or was it clarification that he could sign while on the exempt list and he agreed to cooperate anyway?

Honestly, I'd say go back and look at the stories that were written in the time. That's where you'll find your best clues.

We know the league doesn't care, but the law will. The speculation of Hardy agreeing not to fight it came because he wanted the league to decide fast so that he could participate in FA. Then they said he could, even while on the exempt list and that rumor went away fast. I guarantee you he will fight whatever suspension he gets, even if it's 1 or 2 games.

So on one hand you've got the NFL hellbent on burning Greg at the stake and on the other you've got a DA that has a case that was so lousy they couldn't pursue it based on the piss poor evidence and completely uncooperative crazy ass witness. Now the incompetent NFL is suing the equally incompetent DA because the DA doesn't want the world to see just how stupid he was to ever try to prosecute this case in the first place. Should be quite entertaining watching two self righteous, incompetent entities fight it out for all to enjoy.

I read this in the espn comments from a Cowboys fan.

And there is zero evidence that he has ever beaten a woman. U mean the ruling by the judge who has over 90 percent of her guilty rulings in domestic violence cases overturned? You mean that judge? Or the fact , doccumented fact, that Hardy is the person who called 911, and the woman who accused him of "beating her" admitted to doing around 30 lines of coke that evenig along with heavy drinking and who has filed similar reports on at least 5 other people all of which were dismissed? Yeah , sorry but if you actually follow or research the case, that guilty ruling was very very very fishy and after people found out that judge was also up for relection the next year, all of that point more towards a judge trying to stick it to a pro athlete and make a statemnt /win an election than Hardy definitively doing ANYTNIGN wrong. Again, NOT ONE SINGLE MARK OR SCRATCH ON SO CALLED "victim" after she was supposedly beaten by a 6'4 300 lb giant of a man

Is that exactly true? If so that sucks, but we can use the 13 million anyways

Guys. Wake up. Not our problem.

Kind of is. Our compensation draft pick depends on the money he makes this year. The amount of money he makes depends on the amount of games he plays. Amount of games he plays depends on this topic.

You should definitely start a thread about it.
