No player can be moving toward the LOS at the snap, only parallel to or away from it. They'd have to make a special rule for that.

Maybe they could run sideways and time it so as soon as the ball is snapped they are running up?

I have always thought if you made a field goal on a kickoff, that should count for something. Like points, or the opponent starting on the hash 2 1/2 yardline.

Meh. Would incentivize teams to go for 2 more and place more of an emphasis on having a better kicker.

Not a bad idea, just unnecessary. Change for the sake of change. Doesnt make the game worse, but it wouldnt make it better either.

I think since they have basically removed kickoffs from being returned by moving it up 5 yards - they should make a rule that if the kickoff goes through the uprights and is a touchback - the team gets the ball on the 10 instead of the 20 yd line.

Why don't they just paint random circles on the field and if you complete a pass to or from the circle you get a point.....

They probably proposed it so its easier for them to have comebacks in the second half when they're down 20+ points due to Luck's INTs. Then NFL media can scream some more about how he's so clutch in the second half
