Todd Gurley to visit with the Panthers

Makes sense. Stew may not be here after this season, and is injury prone. Maybe they pick up a talented RB to share snaps with 28 and then see how he looks and see if he can be the feature back moving forward.

I'd take him in the 1st over any of the OT prospects, that's what I think about this year's group of OT prospects.

We've been linked to both Gurley and Tevin Coleman recently.  Sure looks like we're taking a hard look at a RB early.  Almost certainly not #25 early, but looks like a RB in the 2nd or 3rd round could certainly be in play.

 

I'm not against it.  DeAngelo is gone now and this is very possibly Stewart's last season as a Panther too.  You can't count on him staying healthy anyway.  I'm not sure why RB as a need hasn't gotten more talk.

Probably because the need for a RB is far less important than other areas, at least for the upcoming season.  I wouldn't be surprised if we go for one earlier than usual either though.  There's some damn good ones that could go in those first 3 rounds or so.

He's a great player. He's a player for the future, but for how much future? Running backs wear down. But say you draft Gurley. Stew might as well pack his bags next off season and say hello to cap space going forward.

What if we traded out of the first round and got a early second rounder and then took Gurley? I'd be okay with that especially if we got another second rounder next year out of it
