Todd Gurley to visit with the Panthers

Reminds me too much od Darren McFadden. Runs too upright and exposes his entire body to hard hits.

McFadden was a stud, but theres plenty of evidence to what hsppens to RBs with a big exposed target and upright running style. lots of injuries...Bo Jackson, Hershel Walker, Dickerson, OJ..,just to name a few.

sure they were great, but just not durable past their first few seasons...and they all came into the league very healthy.

Any other tired cliches you care to use? I would take that bet right now. Hell I might even take the bet that Gurley isn't there when we pick at 25.

It's borderline laughable right now all of the fans that are thinking that Gurley will be there in the 2nd.  Like you, I have doubts that he's even there at 25.

His injuries are bothersome for a first round pick, but from most of what was coming out of Athens after the ACL injury, it's nowhere near Lattimore or McGahee.  By July, he should be good to go, and if he spells Stewart instead of being the number one back in 2015, he should heal fine by 2016.

To get a starting caliber back at 25 that is compared to Adrian Peterson or a faster Marshawn Lynch in our run heavy offense would be a great get.

There are others that I want before Gurley at 25, but there's a very strong chance that he will be the BPA at 25 and with Stewart's contract, injury history and age, our GM is thinking farther than just plugging in a player in 2015.

If there are no medical concerns from our staff, I'd be fine with Gurley at 25 and wouldn't think twice.... depending on who's still on the board.  Cam needs weapons, and a prototypical back with power, speed, elusiveness and a homerun threat everytime he touches the ball, certainly fits the bill.

I'm not against drafting Gurley or an RB in general.

But if it's in the first round, just on instinct I'm probably going to turn into that "not this sh*t again" meme for a brief moment.

I mean I will too. At least you can recognize it.  I threw something when we drafted Kuechly

Per David Newton

The Panthers were scheduled to work out Gurley’s teammate, wide receiver Chris Conley, later on Wednesday in Athens. Conley opened a lot of eyes at the NFL combine when he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds, but he’s not expected to be a first-round pick.
