End of the road for River in SD?

Hmmm the article mentions potentially Rivers to Tenn. That could be interesting and of course I could see Philly somehow getting involved in that. Could Bradford end up in San Diego? All for that pick to get Mariota. With how crazy this offseason has been...who knows?

Who do yall think is the better QB?

Brees or Rivers?

I'm telling yall that the Saints want Mariotta and I'd almost guarantee yall that the Saints have been putting in work to try and get Tenn's pick.

Tennessee is a pretty terrible and aging team, it all depends on whether they want to try and compete now or if they just want to try and blow the team up and start over.

Tennessee's pick gives them a lot of leverage and they are in the right place at the right time to really make some moves.

Back when i was a young buck, i used to take his order at Fat Daddy's in Raleigh. Never really understood why the managers and owners kissed his ass at the time ( they were all State fans and i didnt give a crap about college ball)...but he was always cool in there...never took on an air of superiority...etc.

Wish him much success wherever he goes or stays!

Rivers might have like 3-4 years left in the tank. Cam has 10. I'd rather have a franchise QB locked up for as long as possible than to have to find one in a couple more years...franchise QBs don't grow on trees...we're looking to keep our SB window open as long as possible.

no on Rivers

I've actually seen it suggested on another board that the Panthers swap Cam for Rivers plus a Chargers 1st round pick.

I'd have to have more picks included before I'd even think about making that trade.

Well Luke is apparently worth 2 first round picks, so you'd rather trade him then move Cam to LB.

This board is something else today

    • OL should be taken in the first three rounds at least every other draft. thank you for coming to my ted talk
    • Wide receivers, even the great ones (and they are rare) can get real expensive, real quick and are involved in say 40-70% of a team's plays, based on that team's particular style of offense. An edge rusher, DT or LB can very often be involved in 100% of the plays on defense.  It's a much better, more cost effective pick to grab one of those defenders (who are easier to evaluate and plug into a system) than to spin out yet another pick on a wide receiver. We're fair to middling, maybe even good with receivers right now. And ignoring a need in a draft might just be the dumbest way to work a draft. Really, just think about what you said.
    • We almost won with basically JAGs on defense without Brown and you guys are dooming? If DB plays we win that game, no doubt in my mind.  We have more picks to make this year and it will be nice to spend at least 5 or 6 of them on defense. I would like at least one OL.
