We can put the 5th year option on him and franchise him twice without even flinching from the cost. I don't think Luke wants to go anywhere anyway. He is an old school guy and we are building something special here. 

 

Plus The Gettle-father will make him an offer he can't refuse.

The Panthers have 70 million dollars in cap space in 2016.  Kuechly isn't going anywhere.

Because there are some "fans" that honestly think we should trade away one of the best defensive players in the NFL, a potential HOF talent who is only 23.  This thread should be locked I agree.  Nonsense from a desperate 49ers fan that gets posted here, absolute garbage.  Worse than Bleacher Report.

He's only 23. Probably 6 years/$60-$70MM with probably $30MM guaranteed. That's $5MM/year for signing bonus with an escalating annual salary of $4MM-$5MM-$6MM-$7MM-$8MM-$9MM with a max salary of $14MM in 2021.

This thread isn't about if we should do it. It's about the 9ers being in such desperation that this is what their beat writer is giving them. No one and I mean no one sees any realistic scenario that Luke isn't a panther for life.

No, see ... THAT was my point. Why in the hell are we making a thread to laugh at 9er fans for wanting Luke? Would you expect ... say ... Lions fans to make a thread on their board if we made a thread here saying trade the farm for Megatron?

 

Forget what the thread turned into, it should've never happened in the first place. I get it, some of you actually dislike 9er fans since their team beat us in the Playoffs and Kaep did Cam's superman.
