At least they recognize truth and even talk about moving on from Kap in the article. The author is so much in for Luke that he says if we franchise Luke they should offer us 2 #1s etc.

They are definitely reeling from this offseason. Although I can't say I don't blame them for coveting Luke.

That was one of the most poorly written pieces of drivel I've ever read, not even counting the ridiculous concept. The bio at the bottom says he's a 49ers beat writer, etc., etc. It's really sad how low the standards must be.

I wonder if they know that you could sign another team's franchise tagged player only if it was the nonexclusive variety.  Otherwise if we socked the exclusive franchise tag on him then it wouldn't matter what they do.  Plus given that Luke was a top 10 pick, giving up two ones is really not giving up that much really.  One extra first rounder for him really, given we gave up a one to get him to begin with.

Nothin for nothin does it make you appreciate Voth. I saw the story on Twitter and literally laughed out loud. Read the "story" shaking my head but in the back of my mind I was thinking I'm glad, even though it's obvious, that they respect Kuechly that much. (Interesting that my phone suggested the right spelling that time)
