Seattle to trade DE Michael Bennett to Atlanta?

After Dallas signs Hardy they're gonna be left with a disgruntled player who wants more money. Lynch wanted more money, now Bennett. Who's next? All those guys aren't gonna sit around happy and jolly playing for peanuts forever. It's already happening. And they still have to pay Wilson. His salary is getting ready to jump from $2m to $20m.

Seattle's window is gonna close faster than people think.

At least they have a window to close.

You're nuts if you think we want to do what Seattle are doing this year. They are putting all of their chips on the table this year, and with back to back superbowls they have every reason to believe in themselves. Next year is going to be impossible for them to manage their roster, while we will be hitting our peak. Stop being reactionary and think two steps ahead. That's what these good GMs like Schneider have been doing while we're sat here screaming about Crabtree and fugging Hakeem Nicks.

seattle had back to back losing seasons in 2010 and 2011.  of course we all know what happened after that.

i wonder what their fans were thinking when that was going on.

Paul Allen, John Schneider, and Pete Carroll are in a league of their own. They just never stop trying to improve, while we are just content with division titles. The moves they make are genius. If they are able to get Hardy on top of Graham, I just don't see anybody stopping them instead of their OC.

They've also had more time to build than we've had. Seahawks are on a 5 year playoff run with 2 Super Bowl appearances. The Beastquake game vs. the Taints in January 2011 was just re-ran on NFL Network yesterday, and I only saw 4 Seattle players in that game that are still on the current team. Matt frickin' Hasselback was the starting QB back then.

We need to keep building the roster better and deeper this year and next before we're in position to make Super Bowl run. We're good, but we need to get better in 8 or 9 spots first. Only when we're a couple players away will we drop major coin in free agency.

We've been close to "hitting our peak" or have been "a couple years away" for decades, dude.

I know we have to love our team and all, and Cam and Keek are the bee's knees ... but give me a break. Let's get back to back winning seasons before we can even think it's "our turn".

Seattle has been to three Super Bowls the last decade. I think their fan base has faith in them.

Terry Blount of ESPN is denying the report that Seahawks DE Michael Bennett is seeking a trade to the Falcons and a new contract.

According to Blount, the team has no knowledge of Bennett wanting to be traded.  Who knows

Yeah...Sounds like another preseason rumor.

Not to mention that they should have won all three.

i don't think you understood what i meant

in 2011 they were six years removed from a super bowl appearance.  that year capped off a run of four straight losing seasons.  they won the west and a playoff game in 2010, a year when they had a losing record which, as we all know, means it doesn't count.

now, i ask you, what do you think seattle's fans were talking about or thinking in 2011.

I don't know why people just think Seattle is going to fall off a cliff. They still have some young talent, as well as a proven track record of good management.

Are notifications not working again?

Not hard to figure out-they crushed the 2010-2012 drafts including getting a QB for peanuts. But in this day in age you must draft well every year or nearly every year. Their 2013 and 2014 drafts sucked and this year they're already without their 1st. A horrible recipe with Wilson's contract coming up. And if they do make him the highest paid player in football they are fools.

True, true. Very good points.
