Hardy negotiating with Seattle/Tampa/Dallas

i'm just saying man there are a billion different ways you could argue that other than to say "well jerruh and the glazers have won super bowls" as if it hands some kind of credence to whatever asinine point njpanthers was trying to make.

if two of the three owners he's trying to prop up are just lol then that's somewhat self-defeating. nobody in their right mind is going to say the seahawks are badly run.

that'd be like me saying "oh yeah i had a great day today. someone ran over me with their truck and i got mugged but i found a penny"

Yeah. Ok. That was kind of crazy when you put it that way.

The thing is though, people are making this into a Bucs-Boys management malfeasance thread, when we are arguably the ones that are really losing out. Hardy going to any team, much less these teams, is just wrong on a lot of levels. Going to the Hawks, Boys or Bucs just magnifies the perverseness of the entire situation. The fuging irony is maddening.

I love this franchise and love what Gettleman is doing, but go talk to other fan bases. The panthers aren't look at around the league as a model franchise in the NFL. I would almost guarsntee you that there are more negative views than positive views.

The Cowboys and Bucs are dumpster fires year in and year out under their current ownership.

• Dallas has won 2 playoff games since 1996 - 2
• The Bucs have 3 playoff wins total (evah!) outside of their super bowl run 13 years ago

Why exactly would you want to model your team after either of these?

if Seattle gets Greg Hardy and Jimmy Graham and we get Teddy Williams and Kurt Coleman and Huddlers still blindly support the way we do things here then I'm really gonna be in a state where I'm skeptical of humanity as a whole

 

Seattle doesn't have Hardy, and they didn't get Graham as a free agent.  So far, Seattle has signed Will Blackmon and Cary Williams.  Earth shattering.

you are talking about how well run the current teams are.

 

Bucs won 1 superbowl 13 years ago, and have been otherwise irrelevant.

Boys haven't been relevant since the 90s.

The Panthers have back to back divisional championships in the last 2 years.

 

Of the three, the Panthers are in the best position, have the better team and the better run franchise right now.  Pointing out success 15-20 years ago does not justify quality of ownership now.
