Panthers believe their number 2 receiver is already on then roster, Makes sense he has had all year to learn the offense and get programmed and trained the right way.... he was a number 1 pick and was the number 1 receiver on his last team.

It's makes sense, considering how we do everything else we will draft a receiver to compete for the job, but it's his to lose I think.... this is only my opinion.... don't shoot me.

Considering that most other teams passed on him, that he was passed over for Tavares King by Jacksonville, that he could not beat out Brenton Bersin for a roster spot.....

I'd say, yeah, he is totally our next great receiver!

I knew FA would be bad but when Panther fans are trying to push Hill to a #2 job it's epic bad.

Yall kill me...... so negative, being a number 2 is not a push.... he has talent size and speed, and has been working with the receivers coach all years and will get a full off season to work on everything some more.

I'm still pissed about losing King. Thought he had a lot of potential here.

Ok the reason bersin made was because he did more than one thing.

STeams, plus he knew the playbook after 3 years.n

Much like how I'm going to be a better photographer than you with a 20 year old digital camera. And I think lighting is something amateurs worry about

I agree that Hill as a #2 should not be expected, but he has the perfect skillset to be an NFL WR2:

23 years old

6'4"

215 lbs.

4.36 40-time

39.5" vertical

33"+ arm length

$600k salary

He came into the league raw and I'm pretty confident that most GMs knew he was a project.  After 2 years in a crappy environment, he came here and has been brought along slowly.  He's had guys like Cotch, Avant and Olsen to help him.  I honestly think Ginn can help him as well.  One speedster to another how to use the physics of his talent to his advantage.

The Panthers love players that know a system and I definitely see him getting a shot.  I don't think his presence here keeps the organization from looking for a #2 receiver in FA or the draft, but I also don't think the book has been closed on Hill yet.

Not really. Bersin wasn't thrown into punt return duty until well after the start of the season. He never returned punts in camp or preseason.

Right but he still played special teams, and plus he had been trying for 3 years for some reason the Panther made him the golden charity case he a hard worker, but nothing special.....

    • It's sort of funny you guys were so bad with 3s tonight about the same time Silver and LeBron both say the game is broken due to too many 3 attempts. The NBA is almost unwatchable. No defense, refs call fouls for almost anything, guys care more about looking pretty on the court than playing tough, etc. Today's NBA is putrid.
    • It's gotten more complicated with the change of CBS and FOX no longer being exclusive AFC/NFC partners From a home team perspective, the NFL requires the home market (which is typically the broadcast reach of the station airing the game) to carry the game. For times where there is a conflict (let's say, FOX Charlotte is airing some major news event) then the broadcast will go to a local station that FOX Charlotte has an arrangement with -- like the CW, maybe.  Only in super-rare instances would local FOX throw the game over to a major competitor like to WSOC/ABC. But it could happen This is how games that are "exclusive" to streaming will end up being broadcast by a local channel in those home team markets -- because the NFL wants the local market to be able to see the game.  Amazon TNF games will always be available on some local channel in those teams' markets, for example. Or the upcoming Netflix games For TV markets that do not have a local team, then the local station gets to choose from what's available. Ideally, they'd choose a regional game or one that is close in the conference.  In Atlanta, for example, we would typically get one of the NFC South matchups for times when the Falcons aren't playing.
