Cowboys in negotiations with Greg Hardy?

New ownership please. Thanks for helping the city get a team but the time has come and gone for JR to retire. This isn't 1995 or even 2005 yet this ownership seems to be stuck in a rut of the same in the box(in the safe) thinking.

This team will never get back to the promised land with JR, won't happen. Gettlemagic won't be enough to rise above the flawed decision making. I don't think the owner wants to win it all. He just seems to want to prolong this stupid cycle.

For once I'd like JR to say " F you NFL! We're going to kick your a*%". Not gonna happen

I remember saying that as soon as Hardy signed elsewhere, a solid percentage of the board would go full on stupid.

Looks like some folks are getting an early start.

Fans are upset one of the teams best players is being let go in one of the worst fashions in team history.

Geez what a hot take that is mr scot!! Anymore mythical sage wisdom from you?

What's the weather going to be like tomorrow? What's the Star Wars episode 7 release date? These are questions only you have answers to oh wise one please tell us.

Nope...he is dead serious.

He thinks Hardy paying off Holder and her refusing to testify means Hardy was innocent.

Actually, if you have any proof Hardy paid her off, the DA would love to have it because he's been looking and cannot find enough to charge him with witness tampering, either. This comes after not having enough to continue the case.

So while all the Hardy-hating keyboard lawyers out there are convinced of his guilt, please try to remember the judicial system in Charlotte has nothing. It may not mean he's innocent, but it does mean he hasn't been found guilty, and the end result is the same- he's a free man.

Lesson to learn here is NO MATTER WHAT, it aint free. It will always cost you whether your married or not. Hardy and the Panthers both paid for that piece. Wonder what rapper is smacking it now?

"The hoes fall of to the next rap superstar Wit no shame, give him a year and they'll be right out the game. The same as the last one who came before him Gained the fame, Started getting ignored, I warned him, Assured him, This aint easy take it from weezy Sleezy people wanna be cheesey They talking evil"

We know it cost the Panthers a cool $13 million, not sure what it cost Hardy,it's a given, the contract he gets from some NFL team this year, will be a lot less because of what happened.

Some of y'all are acting like Greg Hardy is the second coming of Reggie White or Bruce Smith. He had one great year, and he was playing for a contract on the #14 scoring defense in NFL history. Outside of 2013 he has been average at best, and always doing stupid crap off the field. Investing long-term in that type of personality is stupid.

If the Nicole Holder DV case was against Davis, Johnson, Kalil, etc I'd give them the benefit of the doubt because they are model citizens off the field. But with Hardy's past incidents I would not. And regardless, even if he was completely innocent on that night he is still a freaking idiot for putting himself in that situation. He had just signed at $13m 1-year deal and was primed to get a massive contract the next summer. Yet his judgement, or lack thereof, had him out partying and drinking excessively and dating a mentally unstable woman who abuses hard drugs and alcohol.

Signing Greg Hardy long-term is a terrible idea and something a stupid team like the Cowboys would do. The Panthers have been more successful than the Cowboys over the past 15-20 years. Jerry Jones is a terrible GM.

Going forward we have to pay Newton, Kuechly, Lotulelei, Benjamin, etc. and we cannot afford to keep Hardy and Johnson. Going forward I'll take a 29-year-old Johnson over a 27-year-old Hardy any day of the week. That's right, Johnson is only 2 years older than Hardy. Johnson is a much better player and has been a complete, elite DE for many years. And he's a model citizen off the field.

You can't keep every great player that's gonna get paid. That's what Hurney did and it ruined the franchise. You have to let guys go. New England just let the best CB in the game walk away.

And if there's one player you have to let go, it's Greg Hardy. We have a great DL without him and he's immature. Even if he stays out of trouble and dominates elsewhere, moving on is the right move.

Then again, I don't know why I typed all that. The ones upset over Hardy leaving are probably the same ones mad we aren't paying a 36/37 year old Steve Smith $25m over the next 2 seasons.

So Greg's minor incidents are enough for you yo give a confirmed Coke head the benefit of doubt? ?

Interesting. ....
