Panthers Are Signing Safety Kurt Coleman Per Voth

Did not read the entire thread, and I have not seen the terms. Frankly, I do not know how we can praise a signing until we see terms, but maybe I am still dazed by Hurney's bankrolling of players. He was asking the Chiefs for $1.5-$2m per as their #4 S.

I am guessing we got him for $2.5m over 2 seasons ($1.25m per).

have to give you props for this later post of yours in the thread. Page 9 in the thread and we finally get someone who says "Let's look at how much we agreed to pay him first before we form an opinion on whether this is a good signing for us"

i assume everybody before that assumed we were paying him peanuts because they never heard of him

^another good post. All signs show that Coleman is driven and a great leader that will instantly improve our team in three facets at the same time: lockeroom/team culture, defense and special teams

sidenote:

TheRumGone might be the best regular poster on this site. I have never seen him post anything dumb. When somebody posts something very dumb that makes everyone more stupid, i look at the poster's name, Mr. Scot does this a lot, unintentionally i think, i think he just believes that intellectual dishonesty and dishonesty in general are cool as long as the lies/intellectual dishonesty make the Panthers look better in his mind

Since you hold my posting in such high regard, may I give you a suggestion?

Stop with the random walls of text tweets. They are irritating. This is a place for discussion. Sometimes less is more

Knowing what he asked KC for helped me ballpark the figures, I guess., because he was their #4 S (behind some very good players on a very good pass defense in a very good passing division).  I figured he would take less to have a chance to start.  I think the deal was for $1.4 m per year instead of $1.25, but we surely didn't overpay on this one.

Good signing. Dude has always been intense and I remember seeing a lot of games he played his rookie season and being impressed. I've never looked up his measurables, but no joke, watching him play, he reminds me of everything Mike Mitchell was here in 2012. Hard nosed, seemed really rangy and athletic, and always looking to make a big play.

Quality move and surprised we didn't hear his name more among the available free agent safeties.

All that being said, I'm still passed until we sign a WR with legit #2 potential, lol.
