Carolina Panthers 3 Round Mock - Mid March Edition

Who in the hell said that last year?? That class was so weak at tackle, and a lot of people knew that. You can't compare that class with this class at all. If you don't think Peat and Scherrf are elite prospects then idk what to tell you.

Who said that? Only almost everyone.

"The collection of offensive tackles in the 2014 class might be the deepest and most talented group NFL scouts have seen in about a decade."

Scherff and Peat may turn out to be great players, but their movement skills are pretty average.

I don't know why they said it was deep when most people knew that besides the big 4 (Robinson, Matthews, Lewan, and Martin) the OT class was pretty crappy. I guess agree to disagree, but I like this OT class.

Peat is so much bigger than Lewan, of course Lewan is going to be faster and move better. That doesn't mean he's better though.

Try again. They're virtually identical in size. Lewan measure in at 6'7" 309 at the Combine last year. Peat measured in at 6'7" 313 at the Combine this year.

Lewan makes Peat look like a complete stiff. Hell, he makes virtually every OT in this class look like a complete stiff and he was the 3rd OT off the board last year.

Fair enough, Peat just looks a lot bigger than Lewan in his arms and lower body imo. I was really high on Lewan last year too, but you can't say this draft class is weak because Lewan showed everyone up at the combine. One of the most important elements in OT is football IQ and technique. Besides that, there were 4 really high quality linemen last year that everyone was aware of, but it got really weak after that. There's around 10 guys this year that may not be starter material when pre season comes, but can develop into really solid linemen and I think that is the point of this. We will see in a couple years, but again I wouldn't knock this draft of OT, but that is just me. A lot of people disagree.
