I'm sold. if we could draft this guy, it would really help me get over the Hardy loss.

I'm hoping for him in the second round, but if he's trending up.. here's his NFL profile off of NFL.com

ANALYSIS

Strengths

Absolute Greek God with the pads off. Shredded physique with very little body fat. Strong at the point of attack. Plays with desired anchor and strong lower body. Run defender who can close down creases. Gets off ball with good pad level and has potential to convert speed to power. Hands are violent and active. Relentless and competitive. Never gives up on a pass rush. Expected to be a core special-teams talent. Can play 4-3 defensive end or 3-4 outside linebacker.

Weaknesses

Not skilled as a pass rusher. Won't win around the edge often and must prove he can counter back inside. Has dealt with two surgeries on his hip and missed all of 2013 because of it. Lateral agility is limited. Range in pursuit in question. Could be mismatched if forced to cover in space. More unit fit than talented player.

Sources Tell Us

"He's not Courtney Upshaw, but he could be used kind of like that. I can see him playing in both 4-3 or 3-4, but he can't be counted on as a pass rusher and you have to know that he will be limited to just being a run stopper." -- AFC national scout

Bottom Line

Odighizuwa has some scheme versatility, but he's not necessarily a versatile player. Some scouts believe that he could open some eyes with his straight-line speed in his workout, but his marginal pass-rush skills and average athleticism could stunt his draft stock.

passes the eye test, has a lot of arm length, speed and has the frame to add some more weight so he could line up on the inside if needed.

grades out high on run-stopping. something we definitely need. this guy with Shaq and Star in one side. CJ with KK and TD on the other, with Luke in the middle.

the NFL scout wrote up is nonsensical. says they doubt his ability in pursuit as they roll out a 6.4 l-40. you've gotta be kidding me.

another thing, players like this are the ones needed for QBs who like to extend plays or get out of the pocket.

is wager he gets a lot of offensive linemen flagged for holding...his first step is quick and those arms are like tentacles.

iirc, Getty already had dinner with him

his game film reminded me of JPP...srsly. incredible length and area coverage. serpentine is a good adjective. he plays like he's 6'7, not 6'3...very elusive. being able to play on the interior is a bonus. 4.6 40's not too shabby, no reason why he can't drop back in coverage if that's the call...you don't see too many TEs running much faster than that.

I just know our rush defense was horrid and if that is where this guy excels...

thanks for reporting captain Morgan!

always a good thing when Getts' prospecting runs concurrent with my hopes of possibly landing a prospect.

not sure where this guy is ranked but that doesn't really matter if he's tops on our board when the pick comes around.

there are OL to be had in the mid to late rounds and any OT we get are gonna go through some serious rookie growing pains.

dJ Humphries played RT opposite captain and 6th year senior Chaz Green on UF's line, yet no one heard a word about Chaz.

All I'm saying is I hope tgs Huddle doesn't go ape poo if the FO drafts guys like Shaq and Owa in the first couple rounds.

There are plenty WRs to be had in the third and fourt. most mocks have runs on OT's, WRs, DEs, and safeties In the first few rounds. if we can get lucky and have our pick early in the run, we gotta take the chance to get the top player at whatever position is there at our pick.

He played DL in a 3-4 hybrid Defense. Of course his pass rush moves are undeveloped and production was modest. That's just a stupid critique that doesn't take situation into account. His numbers would have been astronomical in a 4-3.

take it as constructive criticism from objective observations. Taking constructive criticism makes you better. it's not like he's a top-5 prospect crapping gold bars out of his butt and I want him to be a Panther.

His primary role isn't to rush the passer so they're not going to take time developing him as a pass rusher at UCLA. The critique doesn't take that simple fact into account at all. Maybe not "stupid", but it's certainly short sighted. Situations can mask players abilities all the time. He's got rush ability it just needs to be refined.

Oh and nice edit from the STFU loser or whatever it was....

    • Kraven has awful shitty comic book movie vibes all over it. It's just more of whatever studio owns the rights to the Spiderman set, but no longer actually has Spiderman anymore. Wicked is probably no more enjoyable. 3 hour long musicals are tough to endure.
    • One of those guys who throws a pass that makes you yell "OMG" then immediately follows it with one that makes you go "WTF" 😳 Essentially the Brett Favre prototype...
    • The Giants games are an interesting comparison for sure. We could compare the Chiefs vs the Bucs as well, since at least both teams are largely the same as they are now, rather than the Giants whose coach lost his mind after losing to us. 30-24 KC in overtime. Hunt had 106 yards and Mahomes had 291. Baker threw for 200 yards, but 2 TDs. Their leading rusher had 25 yards or something. Our offense outperformed what the Bucs did vs KC, but being a division game we won't have the benefit of being overlooked. If our D plays how it did in the 4th quarter I think we can get some stops.  Can Bryce carry a second game? I'd rather not find out and have Chuba carry the load, but we'll see.
