note how productive he was for the Vikings...

NFL Passing Offense Rankings (yards per game) of Jennings' teams:

#8 - 2006 Packers Brett Favre

#2 - 2007 Packers Brett Favre

#8 - 2008 Packers Aaron Rodgers

#7 - 2009 Packers Aaron Rodgers

#5 - 2010 Packers Aaron Rodgers

#3 - 2011 Packers Aaron Rodgers

#9 - 2012 Packers Aaron Rodgers

#23 - 2013 Vikings Cassel (3-3)/Ponder (2-6-1)/Josh Freeman (0-1)

#28 - 2014 Vikings Bridgewater (6-6)/Cassel (1-2)/Ponder (0-1)

Look who his QB's were in Minnesota too

Could be an excellent grab on a 2 yr deal.  I just wonder what his salary expectations are.  There are three tiers of WRs left on the FA market:

Tier A - too rich for our blood: Crabtree, Stevie Johnson

Tier B - fit into our budget: Moore, Nicks, Shorts

Tier C - Jarrett Boykin budget: just about everyone else

I'd like to think that Jennings fits into tier B, but I also could see a team overpaying and putting him just out of our desired salary.

Sucks, because he would be a great veteran fit between Benji, a rookie and Philly.  Would give Cam a WR that does well, what the others don't. 2-yr deal, and he can mentor our guys for the next couple of seasons, while being a solid #2 option.

Crabtree is NOT a tier 1 WR.

He has been mediocre his whole career and is now coming off an acl tear. No way I would give him anywhere near a big contract.

Agree that he isn't a tier 1 WR.  I never said he was.

I was saying that, of the current WRs on the free agent market, he falls in tier "A", which is "too rich for our blood".  I just think of the WRs left on the market, that he could still fetch a decent amount of coin, and will be priced out of what DG is willing to offer.

Crabtree is nowhere near a tier 1 WR.  He's a decent #2, with an injury history, and hasn't lived up to his potetial coming out of TT.

Also, the ACL tear was two years ago, and he put up decent numbers with a mediocre QB in 2014. He put up 700 yards and 4 TDs with Crapernick throwing to him.  Decent WR2 stats, IMO.

Gotcha.

Thought you were saying he was a top WR by having him in Tier A.....I see that you were just breaking them by what you thought they would cost.

I agree wth you that he is decent....but is nowhere near worth what someone will pay him.
