Realistic prediction: 5-11 this season

With Matt Moore at the helm, I don't think you can authoritatively say the Falcons are better than the Panthers. Our defense is on the upswing -- theirs, not so much.

I am not sold on Moore yet, but he does show promise. He still has no wr's or te's to throw to and is under the conservative fox offense.

The hsitory of this division (NFC South) since its inception has been one of successful teams one year having a less than stellar one the next. Certainly, that will get turned around some year, or years, but it hasn't happened yet. It would not surprise me in the least that the Saints have a falling off next year. You can't predict injuries, for one thing, but they are also going to have to play a much tougher schedule than they did this year, or what we'll have to play next season. And all teams are going to have the offseason to go over all their game films in detail in preparation for the upcoming season.

The Falcons are probably in a better situation than the Saints because of the scheduling they'll face next year. Ryan will be in his 3rd year, and that's usually when the real payoffs start to show for QBs.

Us? I'm confident based on where things stand NOW. If we have some real upheaval in the ranks in the coming months, maybe I won't be so confident. But we ended the year on a lot to build on. Our "D" had come around, our "O" showed what can happen, even against some of the elite teams, when we don't turn the ball over and do what we do best. If our STs can be fixed, again, I like where we can end up.

The schedule only has 2 games different between the NFCS teams.
