Deangelo is a steeler now

Point is simply...Williams has one broken 7 TDs once in his career. He ain't doing it now. Not as an old and unspectacular RB who will be the 3rd or 4th best optionin Pitt if he works out

Lol he's easily their second best back and is probably going to start the first two games (Bell will be suspended for drug use). Do you seriously think Dri Archer and Josh Harris are better? Just because you don't like DeAngelo Williams does not mean he is garbage and will not get playing time.

And no, that's not at all what you were saying. I noted DeAngelo Williams had more 1,000 yard seasons. You said Stewart had more 10 TD seasons so it must be even. I called your BS and you've backtracked completely after being proven wrong.

please stop.

Stop what? Folks are acting like Williams was a cancer on the team throughout his career, which was far from the truth. But bring up the fact that Stewart, while he is a top-tier talent at running back, has absolutely no history of durability and we need to stop mentioning that?

I hope that Stewart can be the workhorse back for this team through 16 games and deep into the playoffs. I just haven't seen a bit of evidence it's going to happen. Have you?

Stew played more games/missed less games early in his career than Williams did.

Seriously.

I don't give a damn about missing practice, so don't bring that up.

Stew has had a couple of unfortunate injuries, as ALL running backs do.

Stew is a horse.

I also don't expect any 1 running back to survive a season without injury.

I know it happens, but the fact is, runningback is the shortest career in the NFL because of injuries.

People need to stop labeling Stew and other backs injury prone.

It is very misguided.

P.S. The hate for Williams is more classless than the whining Williams did When he left the Panthers.

But I have learned, that at least 50% of fans gotta have some to bitch/gripe about.

So i do my best to ignore it.

How do you know he was a net positive in the locker room

How do you know he was a net positive in the locker room

I'd never heard a bad word from a teammate said about him whatsoever. The closest was when Tolbert's mom scolded him and reminded him that Tolbert was at Deangelo's mom's funeral.

And there have been countless stories about the friendship between Williams and Stewart, not to mention the whole group of Panthers wrasslin' fans that go to the local matches and even hold contests for tickets to go with them.

To paint him as anything but a great teammate and a positive part of the team is to take one interview taken at the time of his dismissal and use that one emotion-addled moment and paint it across the guy's whole career.

That's disingenuous, small minded and petty. Williams had a long, great career with us, he was upset on the way out the door. Anything more than that and you're just sounding butthurt over a bad breakup.

You never heard a bad word about Steve Smith either. Williams and Stewart was really the only relationship he had on the team. He was not a great teammate or friend to anyone else. But I am sure you know so much more being that you pry follow him on social media. I bet you believe everything the Russian newspaper says about Putin too.

I'm no more butt hurt than you are butt craving some DWill.

Man, let it go, he's gone. He's moved on. Someone new will come along. You can make it through this, just grow from the heart ache, you'll love again someday.

I don't begrudge him signing that deal. Any oft injured RB would have been a fool not to sign it.

You again are the one saying that somehow we will miss him this year. I will not because he hasn't done anything in 6 years.

LOL.

Four years ago? Man, you really hold onto grudges, don't you?

These people are seriously delusional. If they don't think DeAngelo's done anything in four years I don't know what team they've been watching.

about fit....how is Williams the 2nd best option when he doesn't really fit well at anything there.

Also the Steelers drafted Archer for a reason. I would expect more to come from him (was just a rookie) AND other RBs. Williams doesn't fit the power runner or change of pace role....so how will he be the default second best option? There are Fozzy type RBs all over this league and Williams ain't a better option than that
