Saints trading WR Kenny Stills to Miami

Assuming they keep Wallace.

I thought Wallace and the FO/Tannehill worked it out and there isn't a issue anymore. I don't think the acquisition of Stills is any reason to get rid of Wallace. Stills is a huge upgrade from Hartline, and Landry is a #3 guy.

Dolphins will get WR Kenny Stills, Saints get LB Dannell Ellerbe and Miami's third-rounder, per source.

The Dolphins were planning to cut Ellerbe

@Bucs_Nation: Wat RT @rparker209: @jprowell @LeoHowell8 About unloading the cap, in the Stills trade, they acquired Ellerbe, who has an $8.5 mil contract

Saints collecting draft picks. Trying to retool, while still being competitive next season. Good moves on their part if they're able to nail it in the draft.

EXCEPT they are STILL picking up huge contracts and will be broke.  So no, their moves suck.

at least the saints are picking up good value for their roster droppings. ellerbe will take a pay cut. not sure how much he's going to give them though. but the 3rd rounder is quite nice. all signs appear to be pointing for a significant step back for new orleans this season, but if they play it right, it might only be this season.

I'm not so sure they do...

Keenan Lewis is a very solid #1 corner, it was their lack of a second corner that hurt them. Now they have Browner as a #2, who can shut down anyone not named KB (Lewis will be on him anyway) on our team. Don't forget they'll also have Jarius Byrd coming back as well.

They have a solid center now and 2 first round picks. They still have Colston and Cooks and 2 more picks in the 3rd round to address their need for more WR's (a #3).

I'm guessing Payton will be able to utilize Spiller's strengths and get him the ball in space. They could use that second first rounder and grab Maxx Williams, he's obviously not Jimmy but he fills a need at TE.

I do question the Ingram signing though, I thought Robinson did a nice job last year. I'm not ready to write the Saints off just yet.
