The reason Cam isn't in a hurry to sign a contract

Just because you misinterpreted what he meant doesn't make him a liar. It just makes you....

I'm pretty sure he lied, or just miss calculated how much cap we had or JR just doesn't want to fork over any guaranteed money. But don't tell that to the yes-men in here.

Yes....GMan miscalculating the cap or lying makes more sense than you not understanding what he meant.

Remember last year we argued about our WR situation? You told me it was early many times. I believe you even said Avant was better than Lafell. You want to discuss that again? We view things differently. You think our glass is half full and I think it's half empty. I'm not a Gettleman fan I'm a panthers fan. We're a lot bigger than one rouge GM. You want to believe and I get that, you want to believe there's some master plan where we're going to be great. Have to be careful, the teams with all the cap space aren't usually the best teams.

If I said Avant was better than LaFell it was to put emphasis on LaFell being garbage and not part of our longterm plan. I still think LaFell is garbage. Regardless, we weren't going to pay him what the Pays did.

There's a difference between being a glass half empty guy and someone who thinks everyone is out to get them. You're the latter.

And I, too, am a Panthers fan. I just believe that the FO is part of the team and you choose to look at them like they're some dumbasses who want the team to fail and want to ruin Cam. And that's freaking ludicrous.

All you have to do is follow his actions to know what he's thinking. There are a lot of people who believe Cam wants to be a free agent. I'm one of them and so are guys like Clinton Portis.

There are multiple decision makers in Cam's life. He has a team that manages him, he has a family that is very opinionated, and then he has himself. Sometimes when Cam acts of his own volition, it is a stark contrast to what his people and family expect from him. I don't know enough about Cam on a personal level to predict his future behavior. But he has surprised me before.

Who cares? He either wants to be part of what they are building or he doesn't. I'm a Panthers fan, not a player fan and Cam, although a pretty good QB, is not the GOAT and cannot dictate what this team does regarding player acquisitions. And before you call me a hater, I was on board with drafting him from the start.

Who cares? Why would you not care wtf

My biggest problem with the front office is that they seem content with building a team that you don't need a guy like Cam for. As a panther fan, I don't want to see them hand Cam 100 million for him to throw to Bersin in a playoff game. If you want to run the ball and play defensive then you need to be able to actually make stops and force turnovers when it matters and have legitimate run game without your QB.

I agree with that part. But I would rather have Cam throwing to KB and another rookie for the next 8 years than go out and get AJ or T. Smith.

How can you dislike and not trust a guy who drafted/signed 8 rookie starters responsible for our late season run?

If that's what you took from what I posted then I can see where the problem is. There were also several other obvious clues in your posts

Sorry I can't agree with every move the so called savior makes, maybe we all should agree on everything.

When QB's who came into a league in the same year and a year before are already getting contracts while your teams QB's seems to be ok with his 5th year option, I think its OK to have a little doubt in my mind. But that's just me

Because I know our late season run included the Browns, Saints, Falcons, and Tampa. All very poor football teams last year. We were still a 7-9 football team last year. I count the tie as a loss.
