Bucs have "aggressive plan" to trade for AP

"According to a league source close to the situation, the Bucs have had internal discussions of trading for Peterson. Whether the pursuit for the veteran tailback has already occurred or will occur, no clear answer was given. Instead, I was told there are "aggressive" plans in place."

As I have mentioned before, it would be scary to have to face an offense consisting of Jameis Winston, Adrian Peterson, Mike Evans, and Vincent Jackson. Let's hope this doesn't happen.

And please James Winston is hot garbage.

He's almost thirty and has NEVER ran for mor than 80 yards on us..

1. We'll see about that lol I beg to differ

2. Peterson never ran for 80 against us on poo cheese teams with no weapons but he. In Tampa we'd have to worry about vincent and evans or we could easily get burned in the passing game if we focus all attention on ap. Those play actions in Tampa could be very lethal with that personnel

Ehhhh. If he can keep it together off the field, Winston could be pretty good.

The one thing I will say though, is going to the Bucs isn't ideal. Lovie Smith's track record with QB's is pretty awful.

Yeah, but he had Jay "coach killer" Cutler, Sexy Rexy (who he got to a SB), and Kyle Orton...

But this is why you give Lovie a bunch of pieces on the offense...and say go show you mastery of the defense by doing more with less...

i know it was awhile ago, but in 09 we smashed em with Matt Moore and they had a playmaking offense and was in the NFC Championship game that year... AP had 35 yards against us...just saying that the Vikings have made the playoffs a few times that AP has been on that team, once even with Joe Webb as QB (when Ponder got hurt)

    • Am I the only one that didn't like either at the time and thinks it's funny they are all being humiliated by this 10 years later? Incognito threatened to steal his father's head from a funeral home? It's a fight between to crazy mofos and neither are likable people. Jerry springer level energy lol. Also Martin will just hide behind CTE if sued. He has always been unstable so good luck proving his words come from any place stable. And Ingognito would be a hard client to represent because the chances of him going off the rails in a trail would be almost guaranteed. What a poo show.
    • I am fully OK with smart trade downs - especially when you have as many needs as we do.  And don't sell our defense short - we weren't just the worst in Panther's history - we were the NFL worst OF ALL TIME!  And we seem to do alot better picking defensive players in the top 3 rounds than offense, so maybe we have a chance!
    • I'm against trading down. I'm in favor of staying put and picking the best defensive player/contributor for our woeful defense. However, if we could move down only 4 spots in round 1, come away with a midround 2nd round pick, and only have to give up a 4th round pick (which we'd probably use to pick a JAG), then I could actually stomach that.  That would give us 4 picks in the top 100 instead of 3! If we can't find 3 starters with a first round pick, two 2nd rounders, and high 3rd round choice for the worst defense in Panther's history, then it's time to get a new GM.
