Chip Kelly is John Doe

2011 dream team all over again. Bradford wasn't even that great even when healthy, Murray is a downgrade from McCoy, Maxwell was insanely overpaid, and he lost early draft picks and doesn't even draft well anyways...

You say Murray (if that happens) is a downgrade over McCoy, but trading McCoy was about freeing up money that allowed them to fill defensive holes with Maxwell and Kiko Alonso. Getting the NFL's top rusher last year in Murray to replace McCoy as a consolation prize to go along with those two is not to shabby.

As far as Chip not drafting well- this will be Chip's first year selecting players in the draft so not sure where that even comes from. Chip may have had some input, but Howie Roseman has been the one doing the draft selection since Chip got there.

Now the Bradford, Foles, and picks thing.....I'm still trying to figure that one out and if all this backfires that is where ground zero will most likely be. Plus there is still a lot of time between now and the start of the season.

In Kelly's system it doesn't matter who you plug in. Talent differences at this level are marginal offensively as far as skill positions go, don't overpay anyone on offense unless it's on the line or quarterback and build a defense. That's what he doing.

Arent they still paying a kings ransom for murray?

Dont get me wrong, mccoy had an awful contract. He did immediately rework it with the bills. Probably a mutual parting.
