In addition to the fact that that list is embarrassing (lol at putting down hakeem nicks but conveniently forgetting players like Emmanuel sanders ((and countless others)) , yes, what a diviner of true rational wisdom you are) it's amusing that you're comparing the panthers of last year with teams that have made it to their conference's respective championship games and beyond as if there is no difference.

Ironic really. For a thread that tries to paint itself as one of "level-headed straight shooter" knowledge, it sure does reek of not only homerish amateurism aimed at the same predictable"hurr durr it's not madden!!" vein of thinking rather than an actual analysis of teams who spent, who they spent on, and how it correlates to their success.

The fact that you've compiled a list of the likes of Darrelle Revis and hometown favorite hakeem nicks and are seemingly ignorant of the countless quality players who went and contributed to good teams suggests one thing and one thing alone: you need to expand your horizon on what makes a good nfl player. This isn't madden, bro.

As said in my OP, you're free to develop your own list - mine was simply an example that includes most of the teams you yourself, as well as others, have cited as models for FA spending. I really have nothing else to say about this and you clearly have nothing of value to contribute.

All I'm asking is why you excluded a vast list of quality players from your post. Were you worried it would hamper your "premise" or...? That's all I want to know.
