I'm more confused about how a 21 year old isn't responsible enough for one. Back when I was 21 I was invading sovereign nations.

It's one thing to have a kid say "hi!" to you as his mom rolls by with a shopping cart. It's another thing to stop a van, roll down the window, and talk about skateboard tricks. The only good reason to have a van is for your work. People working don't stop to talk skate board tricks.

I have a 13 year old daughter. It's other people's kids that scare me.

 

Montsta I know what you mean. Sometimes when I pull into my neighborhood there will be a young lady walking a dog or riding a bike and she is looking at me suspiciously and I am looking at anything but her. She's scared of me, I'm scared of her and we are both perfectly normal people. It's sad that a very small number of perverts can put paranoia in all of us. 

 

Then you hear stories like that girl that was a slave in Cleveland and the neighbors didn't even know.

I was camping a couple years back and a brown bear came into our campsite and I was really drunk (and very stupid) and tries to rationalize that the bear wasn't much bigger than an Olineman and I got into a fight with a college Olineman a couple years prior to that so I was gonna go get the bear out of our secondary campsite.

I was piss drunk on Chivas Regal and my buddies were egging me on like hey I think you could take that bear. So I stumbled up to it talking drunk smack to it like you ain't poo bear.

My buddy recorded it on his phone but it was basically just pitch black and muffled. The only thing you could make out was me asking the bear "does a bear poo in the woods? It does when I'm here motherfuger" but in a very slurred drunk voice. I got lucky I guess because it took off and went to another campsite (and ended up really messing up the camper shell on my buddies truck to get to some trout).

I only know the details my friends told me and showed me because I don't remember it at all.

fug i hate this kind of poo. i've never been a pessimist but my mind always wanders into worst-case scenarios. my mind gets bored sometimes and preemptively asks itself how i would react to a given situation and these sorts of things only make it worse. there is nothing quite like having a kid and then hearing horror stories on the news to make you realize you'd fuging destroy a motherfuger in a heartbeat if it came down to it.
