KK's Insider rumor Info Mock Draft 1.0

Round 1. #25 Carolina Selects:

OT ANDRUS PEAT
STANFORD

Just as Star and KB fell into our laps it wont be that impossible the same thing may happen this year with PEAT. With teams desperately making moves for a QB, and Defensive help some teams my trade up to grab their guy.  Hopefully Peat is still on the board some how but stranger things have happened.

Round 2. #57:

CB RONALD DARBY
FLORIDA STATE

This guy is a baller! However his stats do not proclaim or confess it.  The opposing teams purposely did not throw his way.  This guy is a ball hawk with brick hands but he will always be around the ball.

Round 3 #89

WR JUSTIN HARDY
EAST CAROLINA

This guy has sleeper written all over him. Hard nosed and real physical player just like our ole buddy Steve was.  He runs a sub 4.5 40 and has excellent hands.  Can get open and always a threat to take it all the way.

Round 4 #121
RB JEREMY LANGFORD
MICHIGAN STATE

What can I say it is a Michigan State running back this has nothing but WIN written all over it. #gettlemagic

Thoughts?

Justin Hardy seems like a project receiver, haven't we been down that road before?  Maybe its just me, but from what i have seen i would prefer Fisher over Peat, but i am no scout.  This would be an OK draft.

I would be happy with that but I haven't been a fan of Peat. I thought he was going to be a great nfl tackle prospect for us to go after but after that Utah game my opinion of him did a complete 180. I would rather have Cam Erving than him, atleast he can play multiple positions if he doesn't work out at tackle. Heck I would rather draft Havenstien in the fourth round, unless Daryl Williams is still there.

Justin Hardy a project WR, okay you have to be trolling. Only set the record for NCAA D1 for most catches for a career, put a whooping on a top 5 CB at Florida (even though we lost the bowl). Watch the gauntlet at the combine and tell me he is a project. He was just as talented at WR as QB in high school (usually the most talented athlete was the QB in high school) and was overlooked. I love your mindset and I hope he falls to us in the third round! I do concur with Fisher over Peat.

Easy bud, the guy just isnt that familiar with Hardy.  I know us ECU peeps get a little testy but no need here.  Hardy is a machine.  He will work hard and has the production behind him to give him confidence at the next level.  Would love to see him stay home.

Yeah my apologies. I'm usually more cordial. I hope he stays as well because Cam would have a sure handed receiver with yac ability he can depend on.

Hey I wasn't trying to be such a smartass but I guess I was, sorry :). Watch some Hardy highlights and game footage, the kid can play some great football.

No apologies necessary.  I get just as fiery.  I agree 100% he would be a great target for Cam.  He would have to get used to a harder ball than what he got from Carden though.

Justin Hardy isn't a project Receiver, nor is he a sleeper. Everyone knows who he is, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him taken before our second round pick tbh. He's got freakish short area quickness and some of the best hands in the class.

No way Darby is there for us in the 2nd.  He is quietly blazing up draft boards, and could potentially be off the board before our 1st round selection.  Depending on the available OTs/WRs/DEs, I'd consider him with our #25 pick.

I like the other picks though.  I do like Peat as an OT, but not for the Panthers.  I think DG is going to draft the most NFL-ready OT if he goes that route in the first.  Unfortunately, Peat is far from that.  If we go OT in the first I think the pecking order is Collins-Fisher-Humphries-Flowers.
