Corey "Philly" Brown vs Ted Ginn

Why in the fuging world would a young UDFA WR of ours, who's costing us nothing and showed out his rookie year, be disposable?

Because he cost nothing.

I like Philly....I just think the Ginn signing presents an interesting paradigm that's all.  We could play them at WR simultaneously, but we wouldn't have much run blocking out there.

No, Corey isn't disposable. He's slower than Ginn, but has far better hands and also greater potential. Ginn at #3 and Brown at #4 is actually ideal for us because that way we have two fast guys who are legitimate receiving threats.

can Philly be developed into our #2 receiver, with Ginn and Philly taking turns blowing the top off?

Ricky Proehl is no joke and I'm not doubting his teaching, especially after watching Philly's evolution from the beginning of the year to the present.

Sorry to keep calling him Philly, I know he prefers Corey, but he may be a few really crisp route progressions away from being a terror in the field..,and not just a one trick pony.
