You know you have a bad ass GM when you can let Hardy Walk.. and not even a whimper from the Team base.

its so lovingly quiet here in Panther land... so peaceful - no desperation moves (Eagles)  and unreal investments in unfortunately to say Assets that are diminishing in value (Sorry to say that.. Unless its Revis lol.)

To truly build a winning team.. you need a relaxed atmosphere : weve been missing this for a while.

Its fun though watching other teams Desperate doing all sorts of crazy poo.. i mean Jesus.

Gettlemagic For President : oh wait he is President.

I prefer to call it building a future by not over extending the credit cards.

Living the cap by counting on restructures and meaningless extensions is like paying off one credit card with another.

By not overpaying for players and biting the dead money a chunk at the time, we will be able to keep ours and with the way his drafts have been.....keeping our own is gonna get EXPENSIVE

there are lots of draft able players that fit the style of play we run. Getts obviously wants as many young talented players as we can get that can keep us in contention until all the bad contracts can be turned over to keeping our true core players.

I don't think Getts wants to lose any of our pro-bowl players and Is adamant about keeping and developing fresh talent so that we can keep all our top talents in house.

Panthers born, Panther bred, Kinda thing.

all I know is that if he can come up with another draft like the past couple, we are gonna be really good across the entire 53-man roster.

I must say, Revis for 70 mill, 40 mill guarantee is just.. just.. I can't even think of word to justify how absurd that is. 70 mother fugging million for a CB nearing 30. Jesus H Christ.. NFL Free Agency is reminding me of the housing bubble excess of 2007 before the crash, the bubble is going to pop at some point

How do you feel about $76 million with $30 million guaranteed?  Kind of close to those $70 million with $40 million guaranteed for Revis right?

Well that first one is what Hurney gave our Charles Johnson in 2011.

This thread reeks of insecurity.

You have personal problems at home, yes?  You have been a total PMS bitch lately.  Are you purposely being this negative or are you trying to channel you inner Debbie Downer?

Saying you  are "being real" no longer applies.  We are all sick of your shlt.

Slow your roll, sig.

No personal attacks.

I'm beginning to agree. Maybe the one thing, as a fan base, we have all wanted is actually bad for the team? Free agency may be like heroin and feel great at the moment but later when you wake up in your own piss with a needle sticking out of your arm and your mouth is dried up like your dreams you realize it probably wasn't worth it.

Trust the shorts.

They had to spend a lot to get to the minimum. It's front loaded in that he gets 33 of that 70 in the first 2 years, pretty decent strategy seeing there wasn't a qb in FA worth giving big money to. They probably won't go after many more big names.
