The NFC South has not given Gettleman a reason to go out into free agency.

do you actually think that if we got cam another big WR that all of a sudden he will magically have the time to pass him the ball. We need better offensive line play, especially in pass protection before any investment in a WR would truely be worthwhile. If you haven't noticed cam tends to hold on to the ball. Don't get me wrong it may work out, but to strap our budget to a maybe is not the gettleman way. Putting flyer's out there is the gettleman way i.e. Ted Ginn Jr, Corey Brown, Remmers, Norwell, Harper.

While I do agree with the statement that the offensive line needs improvement, we really need a WR that can create seperation running routes. Crabtree could give us that quality.

I am definitely not saying we shouldn't. A Crabtree, Jake long, Stevie Johnson, Osi need to be picked up but we can't commit more than 6-7 mil this year to do so. So if any of those guys are willing to take something below that figure then the more the merrier.

One of the effects of the Seattle/NO trade is that now the pressure is going to be on Wilson to deliver to Graham.  You don't take on that kind of paycheck and give up what you did if you weren't going to pass more next season.  This will be an interesting year for Seattle.

As far as playing Seattle, it doesn't change a lot for us right now.  If we were to play Seattle tomorrow, I'd expect it to be about running the ball and not turning the ball over.  Is a "healthy" Oher > Bell at LT?  Marginally?  Seattle killed us with a much less talented Tight End this year in the playoffs.  Does Graham change that?  Or would he still kill us?  Does Wilson become more or less accurate on those touch throws?  Like the one just over Bene?  Who knows?

Thankfully we have the rest of the offseason and the draft and TC to go through before we find out how improved we are versus Seattle.  I think we have a very good chance to win a 3rd Division in a row considering what's happening around us.  I think we will end up better than last year.

Can't we be optimistic right now?  Or is it just too tempting and easy to lower our expectations so much so we don't get disappointed?

Wait what? We have to play Seattle this year???

Cancel the draft!!! trade all of our picks and our 2012 rookie class to the Bucs for Mike Evans and VJax!

more like, "so what if we lose to the hawks we will win the south 3 times in a row."

so as long as we do that Harper will continue to be a great pick up for us.

you should take another step back and think about what banging pots and pans on the internet as a fanbase accomplishes in terms of winning games

No one said that we needed to take any action or that the game is dependent on how upset we get. If you're looking for a debate on the internet because your life is not entertaining enough you won't get it from me.

Simply put we're used to mediocre. It's sad to see.

Have a good one.

I agree with most of what you said but I don't understand why Panther fans act like a division dominance is basically winning the super bowl...

We haven't been a legitimate threat in the playoffs, or compared to any other team in the playoffs for over a decade.

It makes me happy we are on the top of a pathetic NFC south where 7-9 gets you a title...but we need to be better than the 3 teams in our division to be able to do anything worth a poo.

Exactly my point in the post above but of course people with a lack of intelligence can't decipher that.

I'm glad we've finally been winning the division. But what's the NEXT step. I hope that one day we can have Patriots success in my lifetime (even if we have to flatten a few balls, and record a few calls) to do so, I'm hoping we aren't content with what we've accomplished as a fanbase, or organization.

G-man said he is ready to spend some more money this year we can wait and see but if we keep doing the same thing over and over we will get the same result over and over.

Yeah but I believe in G-Man, he seems like he's ALL about winning. Business never personal mentality.

Almost to a fault if that's possible.

So far he's done some decent things.

In Star's two games against them we smothered them. Yes they won but the game within the game had us physically whipping their @$$ (our D vs their O). Now they get a softy in Jimmy after getting weaker on their OL while we get Star back, a replacement for our franchise DE who was out all year, Ealy in his 2nd year, and a likely high draft pick (which they lost), and we're supposed to not whip them?

Yeah Jimmy is soft, but he's still a VERY good TE who HAS burned us also in the past.

And uh, considering they have beat us the past 4-5 times within the past 4 years and we haven't beat them once, yeah I think it's fair to assume, no we aren't going to just "whip them".

This isn't to say that we can't or won't beat them.
