Boykin to Visit per Rapoport

No but it helps having an experience vet that can get the job done decently if we are not able to draft/sign someone in that position. If we didn't sign Oher then we would be panicking come draft time and more than likely have to reach for a tackle instead of going BPA. Gettleman likes going BPA and if you have a major hole at any position it forces you to fill that position in the draft. This is a major reason players are drafted a round or two early and end up being bust. BPA over need!

I would rather reach for an OT then count on Michael Oher

And Gettleman can clamor all he likes about going "BPA" because it's a cool nfl thing that the cool guys say but he's depended on the draft to fill needs both years he's been here (and is apparently working on the 3rd)

Well we could draft a WR in the 1st round, get a safety in the 2nd or 3rd round and a nickle back can be found in the 4-5 round. Add a solid tackle and RB and there's our roster for 2015.

Yeh, but we have no idea how the draft will go. Who will fall and who will rise. We really need some help there.

Agree completely which is why I hope we somehow acquire more draft picks. If we could trade down and get an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick it would be like getting another starter.

Also if the top tackles are gone when we pick I see no reason why we can't draft a WR in the first, pass rusher and safety in the second and third then draft someone like Havenstein or a Daryl Williams in the fourth round. I could see our draft going like this

1st: Jaelen Strong

2nd: Owamagbe odighizuwa

3rd: Safety

4: Tackle

Or possibly drafting a safety in the second if Gettleman sees on that is BPA and then drafting DE Flowers or Preston Smith in the 3rd. Either one seems like a winner to me.

I am not saying you could not do that but what if those guys are not their.  Or better, much better, players are there at other positions.  Maybe no safety is worth a poo after the 2nd round.  Or Jaelen Strong is taken by KC at 18, which is very possible.  Then what do you do?  As Gettlemen said "when you reach you get fuged".

You don't have to fill all you needs in FA, but if you don't at least have guys that can play ok at those positions and all the good players are gone at the position you need by the time you draft, what do you do then.

Mike Brown will make the roster as well. He looked impressive his rookie season racking up nearly 500 yards in only 11 games.

By the start of the season I'm hoping for

WR1 Kelvin Benjamin

WR2 Jalean Strong

WR3 Philly Brown/Ted Ginn/Mike Brown

WR4 Boykin

That corps with Olsen and Dickson has potential.

The truth is no one knows what he'll be asked to do.

Some made peace with the Cotchery signing because they thought at best he'd be the number 3 and not the number 2.

Looking at Boykin you'd think there's no way he'll be anything more than a 4/5 guy but this is the same staff that trotted out Bersin (with him being the first look) on the most important 3rd down play of the year.

The people who are complaining do have a valid concern imo and the people who are "it's just March" well better not be the same people blaming Cam when he throws a INT when targeting Boykin on a crucial 3rd down in October.

We need a legit number 2 so we can groom our next rookie and take some of the load of Kelvin. This has been no secret since the day we drafted KB. Voth says we aren't interested in any of the 2nd tier guys and that's what frustrates some of us.

I'll make peace with Dwayne Bowe or Crabtree but please Gettleman, go get us Stevie Johnson!

If we nab just ONE WR in the first 3 rounds we have our #2. A very young and talented #2 for 1/4 the price. We sihn an over priced FA it not only hurts the cap but itll hurt the development of our young draft pick.

and gettleman may very well snag us one of those players you mentioned, but itll be when poo calms down and we wont have to overspend.

None of those guys you mentioned would push KB for the #1 and thats what we need. That could be found in the draft. If we spend another 1st rounder on a KB calibur player, those lynching gettleman will look really stupid. Yes, i can understand how you guys can get upset and worried, but yet again, i can see why a young child would get upset oversomething that is clearly nothing.

Btw, im also a big cam supporter and i dobt biych when he over throws
