Boykin to Visit per Rapoport

Going over Boykin's stats,

One thing that caught my eye is that last year he had 4 tackles and 4 forced fumbles. He must be a hell of a special teams player.

Beamer coaches them well on ST. That's what I tried to bring up way at the beginning. He can replace a player like Bersin and Cotch production wise while also being able to play (and be good at it) on ST.

This is just like the Underwood etc etc signing. If we sign him and he sucks, he'll get cut before the season starts. Simple and plain.

 

I understand if there is an uproar if he's the only WR we looked at the end of FA but considering that it's not even been 12hrs, I don't see the big deal.  *Shrugs shoulders*

This "same poo" got us back to back playoff berths and allowed us to sit back on this board and watch the Saints and Niners crash and burn this offseason knowing we've already got a nice core of young players thanks to two solid drafts with another class on the way.

Now this would actually make sense.  Your bottom of the roster WRs usually contribute on special teams.

i understand being eager to get a #2. But flailing and literally freaking the fug out after the first day of FA? Come on now

Certainly not the secondary FA market WR I hoped we'd be looking into, that's for sure.  Gotta try to improve the entire roster, I get that.  But, damn.  Did we actively try to seek out a WR that might actually be slower than Jerricho Cotchery?
