i agree that's a pretty interesting stat. but at the same time this franchise is still young enough that i wouldn't look too much into it. I'm gonna stay optimistic. at least until mid season.

but we've also had undefeated preseasons and had bad regular seasons...so even if we do good in the preseason it doesn't guarantee anything..

Interesting numbers. I wonder what they will show in another five years. Looking back from then to now is only way we would be able to know what will happen this year. Hindsight is alway 20-20.

I hope we get rid of the back to back winning seasons drought this year as well.

we had never gone to the superbowl before 2003. it should never have happened.

we have never had a half black president before now. it should never have happened.

but it did.

just because something has never happened before and history hasn't show it to happen doesn't mean that it can't or wont.

The issue is that you're using a ridiculously small and inconsistent sample set of statistics to prove a point. The biggest problem is that none of those teams had this exact set of players and coaches.

I have a question, has any team ever lost every game in the preseason but went on to win the superbowl ? I know the preseason doesn't count but we should win atleast one game before the season starts.

Here's an interesting article. From 1997 to 2005, winless preseason teams went on to have 7.1 wins in the regular season on average. Those that won once won 7.3 times. Those that won twice won 7.9 times. Those that won three times won 8.5 times. Those that had an undefeated preseason won 9 regular season games on average. Again, how a team does in the preseason isn't COMPLETELY worthless:
