Two years of Charles Clay will cost the Bills $24.5 million. Two

years of Jimmy Graham will cost the Seahawks $17 million.

Mike Loyko @ NEPD_Loyko

Over the next two seasons Rob Gronkowski will make 15.2

million. Or 9 million less than Charles Clay.

Charles Clay is worth the money. He is given credit for Ryan

Tannehill's development. Great move by Whaley and crew.

I really dig Charles Clay , but if the Dolphins match his offer

sheet i'll be confused and pissed.

BillsMafia.com:

"The primary reason the Bills are so aggressively pursuing Charles Clay is the versatility that he brings to the run game. Miami would often put him in motion, use him as a lead blocker, or block down the edge from the in-line tight end position.

Colin Kaepernick exploded as a dual-threat quarterback under Greg Roman in San Francisco by utilizing the read-option. In Miami, Charles Clay was extremely effective when used as a blocker for Ryan Tannehill when running similar schemes.

...

Over the course of the last two years, Clay has seen time all over the field-at fullback, wide receiver, tight end, H-Back, etc"

former Saints RB Travaris Cadet

Travaris Cadet might be the tallest RB we've had. 6'1", 210 lbs.

Signed as UDFA w/ Saints in 2012. Just turned 26. 38 recs 296

yards in 2014

I actually like Clay more than Julius Thomas but jeez that's too much.

Buffalo has a hell of an interesting team forming.  I think they're gonna miss Kiko though.

How random could their top producers be on offense:

Tyrod Taylor

LeSean McCoy

Bryce Brown

Sammy Watkins

Robert Woods

Percy Harvin

Charles Clay

Ah sh*t mixed it up

i like them a lot. they got a good defense. hired a very good coach in rex, and stacked the offense for him with mccoy, harvin, and clay. rex just needs component qb play. he already showed he could bring a team to back to back afc title games with sanchez behind center.

Per PFT: "Some veteran receivers are getting no sniffs"

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/17/some-veteran-receivers-are-getting-no-sniffs/

"Per a league source, there’s currently little or no market for 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree and Colts receiver Hakeem Nicks. Likewise, Colts receiver Reggie Wayne has been MIA throughout the first seven days of free agency. Ditto for Wes Welker."

Still like the idea of bringing in Nicks or Crabtree. They're probably not long-term solutions (though they're young enough to have that potential), at the very least their strong stop-gaps. And it looks like they'll both be looking for "prove it" deals.
