NFL Free Agency Update Thread

Former #Stanford WR Ty Montgomery has multiple pre-draft visits lined up. First two: #Panthers and #Texans. https://t.co/n1vmJ32DGR

Montgomery looks the part of an nfl player and some team is going to get suckered into taking him cause of it, and I'm hoping it isn't us. He doesn't do much well, he has a poor senior year, and his offseason so far has been bad.

Just stay away and sign a legitimate WR in free agency.

Eagles are trying to unload 3rd QB Matt Barkley for a low round pick.

Speculation is that if they're successful, maybe they sign The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Posted Today, 04:54 PM

Philadelphia Eagles would be willing to trade QB Matt Barkley for a late-round pick.

This comes just a few hours after the news broke that the Eagles brought in The Golden Calf of Bristol for a workout on Monday. *Note Eagles have no plans to sign The Golden Calf of Bristol at this point in time, unless something changes.

Philadelphia has already re-signed Mark Sanchez and acquired Sam Bradford in a trade with the Rams, to there is almost no chance of Barkley seeing meaningful playing time barring injuries to Sanchez and Bradford.

Barkley, 24, still has another two years remaining on his four-year, $2.739 million rookie contract. He’ll make reasonable base salaries of $592,50o and $685,000 over the remaining two years of the agreements.

Last year, Barkely appeared in one game and attempted one pass and ran for three yards.

Former Broncos and Patriots QB The Golden Calf of Bristol is working out today for the Philadelphia Eagles.

So if Philadelphia decides to sign The Golden Calf of Bristol, he would be reunited with Mark Sanchez.

The Golden Calf of Bristol, 27, has reportedly been working on revamping his throwing motion in the hope of getting another shot in the NFL.

The Broncos used the No. 25 overall pick on The Golden Calf of Bristol back in 2010. He lasted just two years with the team before he was traded to the Jets. The Patriots brought him in for the 2013 training camp, but he was among their final roster cuts.

He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2012 season when he completed six of eight passing attempts for 39 yards to go along with 32 rush attempts for 102 yards and no touchdowns.

UPDATE..............................................................................................................................................................................

The Golden Calf of Bristol‘s workout with the Eagles has concluded without an offer.

The Eagles have no plans to sign The Golden Calf of Bristol at this point in time, unless something changes.

NFL Notes: Dorial Green-Beckham, 49ers, Patriots, Seahawks, & Vikings

Dorial Green-Beckham
A high-level scouting source is saying a lot of teams are scared of Oklahoma WR Dorial Green-Beckham. He still expects someone to gamble on his ability.

49ers
49ers new RB Reggie Bush receives a one-year contract from San Francisco. Although, the official terms of the agreement aren’t available right now.

Patriots
Patriots HC Bill Belichick issued a statement regarding the news that DL Vince Wilfork has signed with the Texans.

Few players reached or will ever reach the special level of Vince Wilfork.  He is a great champion and one of the classiest people I have ever been around – just a kind, genuine and giving person who was all about our team, football, winning and bringing joy to others.  There may have never been anyone at his position with as much strength, toughness, intelligence, instinctiveness and athleticism.  He is the best defensive linemen I ever coached, an all-time great Patriot whose place on our team will be missed but whose remarkable career as a Patriot will be remembered forever.

Seahawks
Seahawks are a team to keep an eye on for WR Dorial Green-Beckham should he drop into the latter portion of the second-round.
Seahawks were “digging into” Green-Beckham before they traded their first-round pick to the Saints for TE Jimmy Graham.
