RT @AdamSchefter: Vikings traded 5th-round pick to Miami for WR Mike Wallace and 7th-round pick, per league source.

Dolphins WR Mike Wallace has been on the phone with Minnesota Vikings for the last hour.

trade involving Wallace is “likely.”

This is just a speculative idea, but you would have to think the Raiders would be interested in at least discussing trade for Wallace given that they’ve stuck out on a number of skill players in free agency and have enough cap space that his contract wouldn’t be as much of an issue for them. After all, they have to spend a large portion of their cap this year and they are running out of worthy players to spend it on.

Wallace, 28, signed a five-year, $60 million contract that included $30 million guaranteed with Miami back in 2013, so it clearly disappointing that this is something being talked about just a few years into this agreement.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading Wallace outright would free up $5.5 million in cap space next year, but would also create $6.6 million in dead money.

This season, Wallace caught 67 passses for 862 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns over the course of 16 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 53 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.

still don't see how Saints can avoid NOT releasing Jahri Evans

w/ his contract #--restructuring at his age only complicates

things down line

Mar 10

The Jets and Patriots cornerback outlook have both taken

dramatic turns today---Pats lose 2 top quality starters while

Jets add 2.

My question is WHY would the Saints trade Kenny Stills? Why?

Productive. Cheap. What's the catch?

Now I'm being told there were questions about Kenny Stills's

work habits. Apparently enjoys the nightlife. No worries in

Miami.

Well there you have it, was hoping for more for Wallace....but it looks as if we were going to cut him anyways. So getting a 5th is best we got offered apparently.

That's actually twice today the Dolphins have gotten something in trade for someone they were going to cut anyway.

Not bad for them.
