NFL Free Agency Update Thread

Redskins are hosting free agent CB Chris Culliver for a visit in the coming days.

Culliver was likely to be one of the most sought after cornerbacks in this year’s market, and while La Canfora says he’s “in-demand” there has been surprisingly very little buzz about him in recent days.

The Vikings reportedly expressed interest in him, but that’s about all we’ve heard up to this point.

Culliver, 26, recorded 45 tackles, four interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery, a defensive touchdown and 15 pass defenses for the 49ers in 2014. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 14 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.

over-inflated rankings due to some pretty solid players in fromt of hm.

Marcus Mariota, Trent Richardson, Bills, Browns, & Raiders

Marcus Mariota
Oregon QB Marcus Mariota said that he will be meeting with Buccaneers, Eagles and Titans at his Pro Day Friday.

Trent Richardson
Former first-round pick Trent Richardson discussed what happened with Mike Wells of ESPN during his time in Indianapolis following his release from the Colts.

“Me and the GM didn’t see eye to eye,” Richardson said. “My next step, I’ll be the starter. Indy didn’t fit me.”

Richardson told Wells that he was “continually fined for being 230 pounds” when the Colts wanted him to remain at 227 pounds.

In regards to missing the AFC Championship game, Richardson said he told HC Chuck Pagano that he would fly to New England for the game. However, Pagano told him he was going to be inactive no matter what.

Bills
Tyrod Taylor‘s new two-year contract with the Bills would increase his salary to over $7 million if he ends up being the team’s starter quarterback.

Browns
Browns OLB Barkevious Mingo mentioned that he underwent offseason shoulder surgery in early January, but is pretty sure he’ll be 100 percent in time for training camp.

Chiefs
Chiefs sign LS James Winchester to a two-year deal.

Raiders
nothing is imminent between the Raiders and free agent TE Jermaine Gresham, but this doesn’t mean they won’t sign him at some point either.

Contrary to reports, tight end Jordan Cameron will be signing

with #Dolphins - not #Browns . Contract details are being

finalized right now.

AND Akeem Ayers goes elsewhere. Patriots just release the whole squad & start from scratch at this point lmao. Truly disgusting.

I will forever love my team, but f*** the Patriots organization for this offseason. You fuged over Brady. I am disgusted.

3h

Let Revis & Browner walk, in a division that just got Brandon

Marshall & has Sammy Watkins AND Mike Wallace. Atrocious.

3h

@bbrowner27 f*** you

Guess the Patriots front office is satisfied with 4. No effort at all to give Brady what he needs to reach another title.

20h

I'm sick of losing our biggest producers

PFF:

"Akeem Ayers had his best season in 2013 with a +11.1 overall grade that ranked fourth among 4-3 outside linebackers. The Patriots traded for Ayers mid-way through last season and ... he rushed on 85 percent of pass snaps last year and finished with the tenth-highest Pass Rushing Productivity among 3-4 Outside Linebackers in 2014."
