Browns parlayed first-round pick they got from Colts for Trent Richardson into Johnny Manziel. So there's that.

Not sure why they'd be laughing.  See above.  They drafted Manziel with that pick. 

 

It'd be kind of like the Pats laughing at us for trading the future #33 overall pick to them for one Armanti Edwards.  It's funny until you remember that they took Ras-I Dowling with that pick, a guy who was a huge bust and only appeared in 12 NFL games.  Hell, if anything, we actually won that trade as sad as that may be.

Draft

The Steelers had a large contingent on hand for Kentucky OLB Bud Dupree’s Pro Day.

Bud Dupree has meetings set up with several teams including the Bengals, Falcons and Chargers.

 

Azusa Pacific RB Terrell Watson has a private workout with Bengals next week follow by the visits with the Falcons and Texans.

Broncos showed the most interest in Colorado State – Pueblo QB Chris Bonner on Thursday.

 

The Eagles and Vikings had coaches on hand to see Michigan LB Jake Ryan.

Delaware TE Nick Boyle had almost two-dozen teams on hand including coaches from the Jets, Lions and Colts.

 

Broncos

Broncos signed P Karl Schmitz.

 

Dolphins

Dolphins signed DB T.J. Heath.

 

Giants

Giants waived DB Travis Howard.

 

Patriots

Patriots signed LB Jonathan Freeney.

Falcons Sign DE/OLB O’Brien Schofield

 

Schofield was someone to keep an eye on for the Falcons this offseason given their need for a pass-rusher and the fact that he spent time working with Dan Quinn in Seattle.

 

Schofield, 27, appeared in all 16 games for the Seahawks last year and recorded 21 tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 26 outside linebacker out of 59 qualifying players.
