NFL Notes: Veteran Combine, Bears, Chiefs, Colts, Titans, & Vikings
 
 
Veteran Combine
DE/OLB Michael Sam, RB Felix Jones, RB Michael Bush, RB Mikel LeShoure, DE Adam Carriker, and QB Mike Kafka and Former #Panthers Craig Roh, Thomas Keiser and Joe Adams  are on list of players scheduled for participate in the veteran combine.
 
Bears
Ian Rapoport spoke with as many quarterback-needy teams as he could to see if the Bears tried to trade QB Jay Cutler. However, no one said Chicago had made him available for trade.
HC John Fox confirmed that Lamarr Houston will play outside linebacker in their new 3-4 defense.
 
Chiefs
the Chiefs were one of the teams pushing to sign free agent DT Jared Odrick before he reached an agreement with the Jaguars.
 
Colts
Colts were one of the teams pushing to sign free agent DT Jared Odrick before he reached an agreement with the Jaguars.
 
Titans
Titans are still working to re-sign K Ryan Succop.
 
Vikings
free agent LB Andrew Gachkar‘s anticipated visit with the Vikings is on hold as of right now, due to what a source referred to as “some issues right now.’‘
The Vikings have agreed to terms with LS Cullen Loeffler.

That was Smitty's cap hit going forward if I'm not mistaken. I wouldn't have paid it either.

I believe AJ is 2 years younger than Smitty and is very capable of going over the 1000 yard mark for a few more season.

2 years ago he had 1500 followed by 1400 in '13 and was just shy of 1000 last season but missed a game. He didn't even have a QB last year, give him Luck and I'm sure he'll put up big numbers again this season.

Andre can still be a number 1 type guy imo

Bills bringing in free agent WR Percy Harvin for a visit is “actually an endorsement of Percy Harvin because [Rex] Ryan had him last year.”

 

 

Funny how the SB Champs and a team that was a few minutes away from playing them in the SB, are both interested in Harvin's services.

 

Rodgers already has Cobb, Nelson and Adams, but are considering Harvin.  

 

Ironic, since Harvin is an ideal fit for what this team lacks: explosive, playmaking home run hitter.

But he's not necessarily a wide receiver. If there was a position called "utility", it would be this guy. Kind of a "wing" in ways.
