NFL Free Agency Update Thread

This relates directly to our FA because I am wondering why we are signing no play makers to go opposite of Kelvin. I think I am free to express how I feel about the FA so far in this Update Thread.

Way too much.

Answered your own question.

I have seen nothing to show he dislikes Cam.

When Cam is heading on to another team and half the fan base leaves as well because of what the organization did with giving him no weapons that are proven in the NFL at WR we will be left in disarray.

You do not ignore holes that big on your roster unless it is OTs and you draft those. A number two receiver should be a proven player if your other player at 1 is a young player.

The top three free agent WR cost 10-11mil per year to sign.

Why do you think we didn't go after them.

Go ahead, I'll wait.

Answered your own question.

So, let me get this straight you think all WRs available that are good are out of our price range when we have over 10 million to spend? Seems my question is unanswered. I will enjoy watching this forum next fall when fans are pulling their hair out because of how bad the offense is.

Smith was 8 million a year. I did not want the TOP FREE AGENT WRs. Words in my mouth do not taste good unless they are my own. The Eddie Royals of the world shouldn't be asking for that much. The Torrey Smith's of the world were not.

Then why call him in? We have plenty of depth WRs and I see no point in it if he is not your answer to go opposite of Benjamin. Instead of focusing on the WRs that are left we are focusing on a guy who is depth then?

90. That's how many roster spots we have to fill. Every year we bring in about a dozen receivers when only 5-6 actually make the team. In no way does Boykin preclude us from bringing in anyone else via FA or the draft.

Plus Boykin is a plus contributor on Special Teams, and it's been said we're looking for "special teams aces" this offseason. 2 + 2 =

No, I think the team believes that most players are overpriced in the first days of FA and that their targets can come cheaper.

I think it equals bs if we are doing the Panthers math.

Looks like the Iggles are getting Ryan Matthews. What a flip job they've done.

QB: Sam Bradford

RB: Ryan Matthews / Sproles

WR: Jordan Matthews / Huff

That has to be the most confused fanbase in the league right now.

That looks like a fantasy football team that the secretary at my work would put together.

By the time we jump in FA for a WR nobody worth a crap will be left. I will be back then to rub it in after the draft. You guys enjoy knowing the offense is not getting better and that we will be seeing more stagnant play from the passing game.

You have no idea what a franchise tag is, do you?
