New Seahawks teammate Michael Bennett still believes Jimmy Graham is "soft."

We're sure coach Pete Carroll is thrilled. "Just because he's on my team, I don't stop feeling that way," Bennett, for some reason, said. "Obviously I'm going to be a better teammate to him because he's on my team. I can't do the things I was doing to him when we were playing him. ... Obviously we are a running team, so he is going to have to block and do all those things." Bennett is correct that Graham hasn't always played with the edge required of a well-rounded tight end, but his comments are perhaps some of the most idiotic we've seen all offseason. Part of Seattle's success under Carroll has been its all-for-one, one-for-all mentality. Bennett may want to get with the program with regards to his new teammate.

LBs get lost in the shuffle during the FA and some good ones can be quietly talked about....

 

Jacquian Williams.  4-3 OLB 6'3" 225 lbs, from the Giants.  I don't think he's been signed anywhere and all has been really quiet on his front.  Weird thing is that he's produced...not a playmaker but really solid.  76 tackles last season too and is only 25.

Chiefs Hosted OT Byron Bell For A Try Out

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that former Panthers OT Byron Bell tried out for the Kansas City Chiefs.

This is the first reported interest in Bell since free agency got under way close to a month ago.

Bell, 26, signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico back in 2011. He finished out his rookie contract before receiving a second-round tender from the Panthers worth $2.187 million last year.

In 2014, Bell appeared in 15 games for the Panthers and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 83 offensive tackle out of 84 qualifying players.

 

...ouch. But hopefully they sign him soon so he can factor in to next years comp picks as a positive for us.

Oher was cut due to cap hit.  They just paid him way too much money.

 

They saved $2M in cap space this season by releasing him.  That figure jumps to $4M next year and $5M in '16.
