i have a cable, but the home office room is down the hall from the living room.

not so sure i care about blue ray, but as mentioned games are getting bigger.

games played will be madden and FSPs like COD: modern warfare.

the built in wifi is the one that has me thinking PS. the adapter for the 360 is another hundred bucks which is dumb in my opinion. i could probably find a universal one cheaper though.

You'll be a lot happier with Madden on 360 imo. If you hated halo because of little kids, you'll hate Madden on PS3 because its much worse with the guys who think every game is a tournament and you have to play as gay as possible just to get a win.

I never had any trouble finding matches on CoD on Xbox but I am much happier playing it on PC.

But like someone already said, if you're in it just for the games and you like FPS, drop $1000 and build yourself a nice PC. The rig I'm on now still plays everything that comes out on max settings and if I drop another two or three hundred in it later it should keep up with games for 5+ years. You just have to have the know how to build it yourself.

All that being said, I will be getting a PS3 this holiday season because it finally has enough of an exclusive library to justify me buying it but it will still see the third most hours behind my PC and my 360.

That chart is retarded. PC's become outdated so fast and uneligible to run the future games in no time and I Wii's plain suck. Multiple real friends play online together on the Xbox and there's even a few friends of mine that also have the PS3.

Anyways, I still think the PS3 is a better buy for them both being 300 dollars now.

i have wifi on my 360 and i didn't spend a dime for an adapter. just plug the thing into your wifi and there you have it.

By "average" do you mean "a 500 dollar piece of poo e-machine from Best Buy?" Because in that case, you're right. But you can build a decent gaming PC for probably the same price yourself and it wont be outclassed THAT quickly. Myself, I don't mind throwing a couple grand down every 2-3 years for a top of the line machine with a top of the line graphics card that will allow me to max out graphics for any game during that period. Because ultimately, a game like Crysis looks far and above better than any console game for either the xbox or ps3 sorry.

And I got the NVIDIA 8800 GTX when it first came out over two years ago, and it still handles any game I throw at it on XP. Probably will still be able to into 2010. The only game it has trouble with is fuging GTAIV and that's because Rockstar does a pooty coding job on all of their PC ports.
