Rams released LT Jake Long.

The move saves $8 million in cap room. This decision was an easy one for the Rams, who will move forward with Greg Robinson at left tackle. Long spent two years in St. Louis, finishing both on injured reserve. Turning 30 in May, Long is currently rehabbing an ACL tear and may be weighing retirement.

Long was the top pick in the 2008 NFL Draft and earned four consecutive Pro Bowl appearances from 2008 through 2011. When healthy, he's among the best pass protectors in the league and has never been a slouch in the run game, either. 

 

But dude has glass knees ,Long didn't play bad prior to the injury but hard to come back from 2 ACL tears and he needed his MCL repaired
